  • Male-Female Relationships

I just read two news stories.

    First story:

A pair of Ohio state female employees, two 26-year olds, who had accused their supervisor of "making unwanted advances and vulgar remarks" put him in hot water and led to other investigations that revealed other employees' misdeeds, including the admission by the state's Attorney General that he had been playing "Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky" with a co-worker as well.

In total, three state employees, all in the AG's office were fired or forced out and the AG himself, whose 2006 campaign slogan was "Returning Trust To Ohio," will be next. (All Dems, HH, "Culture of Corruption, you know.)

All this because a horny supervisor verbally sexually harassed female employees.

    Next story:

Colleges are allowing coed dorm rooms

So I'm trying to get this straight, a male can have a female roommate, watch her dress and undress, joke around, whatever, but then years later if they happen to end up in the same office he could be sued and fired for making the same comments that he used to make when they shared a dorm room together?

Poor males, they live in a world of mixed messages.

The problem in your logic is that the first story is about unwanted advances and extramarital affairs after promising to "return trust" to your publicly held office and the second is about allowing students to live platonically with whomever they choose. I don't see the correlation.

MJZ, objectively speaking, I'm trying to understand what possible benefit there really is with having a roommate of a different sex in a cramped university dorm when situations like in Ohio are bound to happen between men and women.

So you think "making unwanted advances and vulgar remarks," either real or perceived, would not take place in a dorm room between 20 year-olds?

The logic problem is with universities, IMHO.

      A. Try looking at it from a male's perspective. Don't you feel sad for the poor mindless creature that is confused over what behavior is appropriate and inappropriate with women?

      B. What if former roommates did end up in the same office? The same "vulgar" remarks they used to joke about suddenly become grounds for someone to be fired. You don't find that confusing?

One big problem, among many, about boyfriend-girlfriend sharing a dorm room together is that all too often relationships break up. That seems to happen quite frequently in the late teen age years. Then you have the challenge of which one stays and which one moves out.

Not exactly true. Gays, lesbians, and transwhatever definitely prefer the Dems to the GOP.

I get your basic though. I was just reminding HH that he overdid the liberal talking point about the Republicans' "Culture of Corruption" awhile back.

It is irritating, however, that most news outlets, print or broadcast, are quick to mention the party affiliation if a Republican is involved and omit that fact when a Democrat is the subject. Either they should always use it or always ignore it.

            Their bias is annoying.

True, but lets not forget the republican part who hide their desires in the closet and then get busted in an airport restroom. Gee thats not embarrassing.

Why compare the two? people are responsible for their own actions. The two have nothing to do with each other, just ridiculous propaganda on your part.

Dana Perino is sexy in an uptight republican sort of way. Something excitingly perverse at the thought of unmasking her animal side. But its got to be hell to live with her.

                        Silly Harlan!

Don't you know that Republicans never have any animal side to them when it comes to sex? They just hire illegals at minimum wage to have sex for them.

As usual you try and compare two situations yet leave out the crucial distinction.

Two college roommates, be it same sex or opposite genders do not have a relationship in which one is noted as being the other's "superior."

If you can't see the distinction or realize the precarious position one is placed by having unwanted advances made by your boss then you are even more clueless than i previously suspected.
