There was a poster that was hacking into the forum, and also seemed to gain personal information about a few people and using that info to harrass them. That was the last straw for most of us. Upnorth let us all use his forum that was more of a Christian themed forum, which everyone used before the creation of Packerrats.

He was just useless, problem is instead of ignoring him when he was stupid people would get dragged down to the gutter with him. I don't mind all kinds of views, those posters that cna't put together a coherent though I ignore.

yeah, that was tank..

however i was under the impression that he was a harmless trouble maker that TOO many people allowed to get under their skin (that was his goal and they allowed him to succeed instead of just ignoring him - which would hurt him))

{ilr]3]I left and never looked back because there was ZERO moderation. Viking and Bear trolls ran rampant saying and doing what ever they wanted. At the same time if you visted one of thier forums and even mentioned the Packers in a positive light it was Insta-Ban.

yeah, there was trolls galore but i laughed them off..cant take this stuff too serious or personal even though it gets difficult at times

I left after getting into an e-mail fight with Mike Davis because he was an incompetent boob and couldn't figure out how to even slow down whoever was fucking with that forum. I happened to cc all his bosses at JSO and his staff too whenever we communicated. I don't think he liked that. After he removed nutz's coyote fellatio picture in my signature, which I was using because nutz was banned at the time, I replaced it with with some quote about Mike Davis ruling with a fluffer's fist. He banned me for real after that.

We were told to be ourselves at the christian encourager website. It took all of three posts before that place was on lock down because I posted a picture of a public lice named tony.

Then these douchebags opened shop. They used to tell us we could do whatever we wanted except post personal info. Then Mad started making up all kinds of rules and retailguy started enforcing them with the deftness of a sledgehammer. Overall, it's still a nice place though.

LOL. I remember that place. Last time I was there it was the same 5 guys all bitching at each other. Two of them started the place. One preached accepting everyone, and would flame anyone who disagreed with him. Another was Lawyer Joe, or some incarnation of him. Then there was some guy just playing along with their weird, twisted game. That place was creepy. Maybe it's better now, but I don't trust no website selling $20-$30 branded shirts, so I didn't make it into the forums.

I remember the JSOnline forums. They really collapsed when T.I.D. retired from the forum - for the fifth time. Seriously, though - the best days of the JSO were the well-thought out and compelling 'retiring from the forum' announcements. And the 'Ole Cleedius' pictures.
