I've had Coors since, but it seems watery and ordinary, and it has never been anything like that original goodness.

Are any of you beer guys old enough to know from experience if there was that much difference between the old unpasteurized Coors meant for constant refrigeration and local consumption and the new formula meant for the masses?

      • There's a whole lot out there to start tasting, but not nearly enough space to fit it all. The following 10 destinations are by no means a definitive list, but they're some great spots for getting started. Let your palate guide you and let someone else do the driving.

I'm taking a road trip down there. This place looks like a great place to spend a few hours, and the drive down along the river is incredible.

                    • Howie, I just did an extensive comparison of the following IPAs. IMperial IPA from New Glarus is much finer, but they tell me the supply is limited....

Both are extremely strong - 9+%. Commodore Perry "Don't give up the sip" clocks in at around 7.0%

                      • I can swing through New Glarus too and check that place out. It'll be like going to Napa Valley without all the d-bags.

                        • I have had some nice Unplugged beers from them.....the Red is always nice...it's like drinking a Jolly Rancher. I've had a couple of the Great lakes selections but never the Monster. You guys get the Russian River stuff out there? (Blind Pig or the Pliny)

Yep...label change this year though. I'm getting together a care package. Just fill it with Surly cans for the return.
