Thanks Bretsky and MadmanPacker for your post .
I have encountered "Forum Politically Correct", forums that will crucify you if you come down on the wrong (according to the site owner and his butt buddies) side of an issue .
I've seen real battles occur and the {wrong} forum site owner banishes the "troublemaker" for expressing their opinions. This after the argument gets personal and the "troublemaker" is goaded into using forbidden words and phrases .
All will be just fine as long as everyone recognizes that I'm 100% right , 100% of the time !

Well I have been accused of such at times. But IMO banning doesn't happen unless personal information is revealed or extreme trolling that is derailing threads. For the most part you can cuss, say stupid shit, be a jerk and even be a rival fan. If you do start fucking up that bad you will hear about it before any drastic action is taken.Originally posted by Radagast View PostThanks Bretsky and MadmanPacker for your post .

We have weekly game day threads. PBMax, Red, gbgary, essox, and whole lot of others participate.Originally posted by Radagast View PostQuestion , has this forum ever had or considered having a "Shout " area or a "Chat" room ? Other forums do it and it is especially great when the Packer games are on .
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

IMO , pictures and color and even smileys brighten up a thread and can stimulate members to get off their butts and post , instead of just sitting on the bench collecting splinters .Originally posted by hoosier View PostWhat's with the oversized polychrome font?

I would like to ask that the moderators in this fine forum please consider listing below their forum handles that they are moderators .
Also, I think it would be a great idea to have a thread category dedicated to ALL OTHER NFL Teams that would be separate from the Green Bay Packers category .

Why do you think a dedicated category is needed? I'm not arguing against it, just curious about your reasons.Originally posted by Radagast View PostAlso, I think it would be a great idea to have a thread category dedicated to ALL OTHER NFL Teams that would be separate from the Green Bay Packers category .

I'm in South Dakota; first time ever. Personally I like T and A type drinking vacations but I dig the sightseeing tooTERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

Lots of interesting rock formations there. Some people say they can see Presidents heads on one mountain side. Another is said to look like an Indian on a horse.Originally posted by Bretsky View PostI'm in South Dakota; first time ever. Separate categories for GB and All other NFL Teams would allow non-GB threads to not dominate over less posted to , and yet still important threads . It is common practice in other forums and it works very well . A non-GB category would offer members a place to post without being walked upon by the forums primary GB threads . I was surprised that it was not standard policy in this forum . This suggestion is not intended to dictate or set forth policy in this forum , only to relate one members observations . Change , if it occurs , would be the Forum Administrator's decision .Originally posted by Patler View PostWhy do you think a dedicated category is needed? Many of us frequent other forums too, or did, and are more active here because it is different in its own way. It is simple and straightforward. I'm not sure that just because something is common on other forums is a good reason to incorporate it here. Just my personal opinion. I really dislike having to go through a bunch of different areas to see all the NFL related topics. Historically on here a thread remains fairly active if it has interest until it falls off the first page, and that usually takes quite a few days of inactivity. Making the site more complicated and complex, I think, would be a mistake.Originally posted by Radagast View PostSeparate categories for GB and All other NFL Teams would allow non-GB threads to not dominate over less posted to , and yet still important threads . Off season is usually slow around here. Many posters show up when the season starts, and the feel around here changes a lot. But, I believe you said you lurked here a long time before posting, so perhaps you realize that.

I do sometimes monitor, but I have never "lurked" anywhere in my life . You seem to know a lot about "lurking" , so what is a professional lurker called ?
Some accept your backhanded insults as humor, that's not always true for everyone . IMO, your post carry no more weight due to your length of forum membership than the newest forum member. Nothing however gives you the right to personally insult anyone, especially me . I try not to offend others as I post, some forums offer a way to simply ignore (place another members post so that it does not appear to the member that activates the option ) another members post. I'm sorry this forum does not offer the same option .sigpic

Don't know why you were offended, "lurking" is widely used as a term other places and is used here often by members themselves who come frequently and read, but do not post for whatever reason. Nothing derogatory is intended or implied. Most of us migrated here from an old JSO site (via at least one site in between) years and years ago. I "lurked" on the JSO site for most of a full season before deciding to be an active poster. I can't tell you how many members themselves in an early post describe themselves as a long time "lurker" who has decided to now post. One did very recently. I thought it was you, but apparently I was mistaken.Originally posted by Radagast View PostI do sometimes monitor, but I have never "lurked" anywhere in my life . I've never suggested, implied or thought that my posts carry any more weight than those of anyone else. In my opinion (no more valuable than yours or anyone elses) the value of a post is determined by the validity of the information on which it is based.
When I insult, it is straight forward, not backhanded. Perhaps you are simply being oversensitive, which I myself tend to be at times.
BTW - we do have an "Ignore" feature, or at least we did have, so free to ignore me if you wish. Doesn't bother me a bit.
