It looks like Christmas here this morning......snowed about 6 inches last night and still coming down hard right now. It's supposed to snow for three days.
What are you skiing on these days Howard? I'm buying two new pairs this spring while things are on sale...one set of powder boards and then an all mountain (big) set. I normally buy a set of GS/Super G boards but will change it up a bit this time around. I love speed but just can't deal with the heavier snow on racing skis anymore. Hard to admit........
I have 2 pair of Atomics. One I bought end of season up at Whistler a few years ago (looking at the skis I use proves how time flies when you get older), fattish, all-mountain (before everyone had all-mountain) Beta Ride 10-EX. And another pair of Atomic Beta Race Carv 9 20s. I was a Herman fan.
Nowadays my skiing money goes into kid's equipment more. I picked up a nice pair of Atomic Race 10s from a shop in Boulder. I think they do more tuning than selling, the guy gave me a great deal.
My best deal this spring though was some helmets from a guy in Denver. He was into promoting Bode Miller and had a basement full of Briko helmets with the Barilla logo on them. Bode was sponsored by Barilla during the mid 2000s....during the Italy Olympics, but they dropped him after his 60 Minutes interview, etc, drinking........you know the story. So, this guys has a bunch of $190 helmets (brand new in box) that he is selling for $20. Bought the next few sizes for the kids.
If you need a helmet check on Craigslist in Denver and search for Briko.
After lunch the players lounged about the hotel patio watching the surf fling white plumes high against the darkening sky. Clouds were piling up in the west… Vince Lombardi frowned.
Why is it every time I go to a new hairstylist, they try to make me look like Nancy Pelosi? If they're going to do all that work, and not listen to what I told them, they may as well try for Hillary. That style looked better on Pelosi too.

That's the marketing tag line for the Pelosi hairdo...."If they're going to do all that work, and not listen to what I told them...."

Right. They could have had Hillary.

My son who's never been a huge football fan--gets that from his father--and I decided to have pizza and movie night. We ordered the pizza and I asked him what he wants to watch and he told me the Ice Bowl. Warms my heart...(at least until he changes his mind). Wow! The kid chooses the Ice Bowl!

Red Robin tonight; it sucked. Madison's is far far better than Janesville's

I bought a new pair of comfortable sneakers for $15 at Dollar General - or was it General Dollar?

I was on Atomic Beta B9's till this year when I got a pair of Rossignol Scratch's that are almost 100mm under foot. I knew they'd be great in the pow, but I like them well enough on packed that I retired my Atomics.
Fixing up the baby nursery today. Geesh...is it me or can a woman nag?
