I just wanted to pass along some newer weapons you may or may not be familiar with, since I don't know if you keep up with the industry. Beretta has remade the 92, Now it's called the 90-Two. Very clever. But the .40 is affordable @ just under $600, the older ones shot very nice, and it's a time tested platform. Better yet, they now include a rail cover, which makes the gun look very 2020.
Also, the HiPoint carbine in .40 is back in stock @ Buds for $300.
I hope you get some decent weapons soon so you don't die.

Yes sir ree. I like the Berretta, I am moving on from the Hi-point, I will get an AR platform. I want something in the .308 but I don't think I am going to be able to afford it. I guess I will just be happy with a .223
I'm guessing my 'Red Ryder' isn't adequate protection for invasions of starlings and really hungry homeless people.

Have you looked into the DPMS Panther? The .308 is in the $900-$1000 range. Bunch of different builds out there, but this one caught my eye while I was rifle shopping:

You can't go wrong with the Hasbro Longstriker CS-6. It'll run ya about $35.
The advantage here is you can actually shoot it at somebody without getting in trouble. Usually.

Clips size? that looks like a ten round clip, if they make in twenty I will have to get a little bit of wood.
