  • A Tribute To PackerRat Great - Harlan Huckleby

Perhaps the most famous Packer Rat of all time, Harlan Huckleby, has been MIA for 4 weeks on Thursday of this week. His last words were "Trade them the rights to Brett Favre." in a nondescript thread about acquiring Stephen Jackson from the Rams. If those end up being his final words here at PackerRats, he'll at least have gone out with his sense of humor intact. This thread shall serve as a vigil, and is to be kept alive with a daily bump until we either achieve some sort of closure as to his untimely fate, or are joyfully reunited with our founding Rat.

As many of you are likely as distraught as I am over the sudden disappearance, I thought we might join together as a group and find some level of comfort through shared stories of our experiences together with Harlan over the years. Please join with me, and share some of your favorite Harlan posts, picture or stories.

And please remember, this is a tribute - not a roast.

When young Harlan Huckleby founded PackerRats he was a carefree lad. And the life of the party.

I remember when I called him a c#*t. He said he wasn't offended, but then he was. I was very confused.

Perhaps someone with connections in the dairy industry and some graphic design skills could help us out.

I remember that Skinbasket, and that's when I knew that you were his favorite.

I just hope he wasn't shot in the back stealing beer from someone's garage.

Thanks Skin. You can send him a link to this thread, and ask him to drop by and give us periodic updates on his activities and whatnot.

I am fanatically obsessed with seeing that EVERY American get affordable access to an HMO-level of health care.
I think he took a job in Washington working for Nancy Pelosi.
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

Is that him in the darling green coat?

After lunch the players lounged about the hotel patio watching the surf fling white plumes high against the darkening sky. Clouds were piling up in the west… Vince Lombardi frowned.
