These three in particular blew my mind:

Space X Falcon 9 landing / ARkit Demo by @tomasgarcia This is amazing. Just think of the educational opportunities to help students visualize physics, bio, chemistry, electromagnetism, etc. — Frank Ichel (@ubeenfranked) June 30, 2017 Can’t. Stop. Retweeting. This. Stuff. Gets better by the day. AR is going to be a huge deal with APIs this good. https://t.co/6FK60nCIrI — Philip Morton (@PhilipMorton) June 27, 2017 This but with ARGlasses

How about you take your soft, feminine hands outside and work in the dirt or do something that involves no smartphone or screen.

I saw Cinderella naked. Now I understand what the mice were talking about.

But does it have a dual parallax background?

Millennial culture will be the end of civilization. Five thousand years from now, when some new civilization with its archaeologists unearth our ruins, they will conclude that the Nazis in fact were the true victors in WWII and that Twitter was the official voice of the Sixth Reich.

Why are you being a dick? You don't believe Augmented reality is the next frontier? Well, if you're interested in considering or learning why it's going to be a big, just follow the money. Venture Capital firms are investing in AR/VR like crazy right now, and both Alphabet and Apple have been on record saying they think it's going to be a huge driver of growth and disruption in the coming years.

Look no further than Pokemon Go taking over the lives of millions of people with a smart phone last year. Now apply that to something that helps the economy or makes a dramatic improvement in capability like surgery or manufacturing. The world is about to get very interesting.

The world is already interesting enough, thank you. I get impatient with this myopic, overly-optimistic, self-promoting techie culture that cannot see past the tip of its own nose and thinks it's the center of everything and the answer to all of the world's problems--problems it couldn't begin to analyze because it cannot actually think. Go back and read Adam Smith and Karl Marx, or just read Marshall Berman's book All That is Solid Melts into Air. You'll see that capitalism has always been about "growth and disruption" and that augmented reality is thus another name for "nothing new under the sun."

Didn't Apple say the Segway was going to revolutionize the world? Not all "can't miss" tech hits. Google Glass was a can't miss as well. Some things are actually before their time and I think VR is one of them. It will fade for a while, then come back strong.
