I am telling ya, it's not worth worrying about. You're not weird by any means. At least half the stories you hear at school are probably made up ( though kids are getting it on younger and younger nowadays ). Lets put it this way, I have 5 people whom I have known since kindergarten who I consider my five best male friends. We're not the best looking guys, but we're not the worst. We all had girlfriends in high school, and they certainly weren't prudes by any means. While I had received many a bjs by the end of my senior year from my girlfriend of a year and a half at that time, we never had sex. None of the 5 of us slept with their girlfriends though, and I can name probably another 180-190 from a graduating class of 220 that didn't either.

As for a ballpark figure, I guess not kissing anyone in high school is a little weird. You need to get that experience as it is a very important step in the socialization process. It's certainly not strange having it happen in your junior year or senior year though. If I recall you're 14, so that gives you some time still.

As for getting laid, I would say by the end of college starts to get a little weird I guess, but not really. I know a couple of people who are waiting, and they are just your average, normal person. It's really a matter of values I guess.

You're in puberty and probably a horn ball. It's understandable that you want to get laid and are frustrated you aren't getting any. It's perfectly normal that you're not, seriously. Probably 75% of the people your age AREN'T either, contrary to popular belief.

Waiting longer is always good. It may not seem like it at the time, but I would probably wait a little longer if I could go back and change it. There is no need to rush into something that is such a big step in your life and in your relationship.

Finally, find a partner you really care about. I mean someone that you are in a committed relationship with for a year+ in HS, a few months in college. It's so much better this way than having your relationship get off on the wrong foot from this.

JAPF, take my advice. You'll be fine. If it matters to you, i'm 21 years old so it's from someone who grew up in a similiar time and knows how it is. I am not advocating being a creep or anything by any means, if you're at a party and you end up making out with some chick, go for it and have a great time making out, but I would let it stop at that. No need for clothing below the waist to come off at your age.

heh, my score was not so hot at all. I think it's 'cause the people that aren't experiencing frequent sex are reading all about it and how to change that, so they are very book smart on the topic!!

JAPF - I'm pretty sure you're wrong - things happen a lot LATER now then they used to. Middle of the century, wasn't uncommon for 16yr old girls to be getting married. And you KNOW they were having sex then.

Since the average age is now 17, I'd say the average has moved the other way.

Meh - I'm with Partial on this one. I remember it can be frustrating, but constantly looking for 'it' can really put a cramp in the rest of your life!!! Find a girl who wants to, don't try and rush things while drunk at a party, etc, etc. Buy a motorcycle, it'll take your mind off things!
