PS3 just lost EA support. That is going to be a major blow.

That really sucks, because I wanted a PS3 for the games and Blu-Ray player combo when the price drops.

I don't see how legally Sony can tell EA in the first place that they can't make games for competitors. That would be like Ford giving Sirius a bunch of money and saying they can't put their receivers in any other car except a Ford.

well actually, i think they can do that. if ford offers enough money, sirus could go for it

and it really hurts sony, because now they can't have an official nfl product, like ohhh madden, seeings how EA has a monopoly on that

They didn't say they couldn't, they simply chose to support PS3 over Wii. All the games have different capabilities and internals, thus different code needs to be written for all three.

I like EA though.... I'm a huge Sims fanatic. BTW, their new release "The Sims Life Stories" is a waste of $$$. Very disappointed. I suppose a 10 year old would like it though.

i get really bored with the sims after awhile, i do love the sim city franchise though

and even though i always can't wait to play the next madden or fifa or whatever sports game, i always end up dissapointed by them. its like they stopped trying to improve the games, and every year they just update the rosters

after reading some stuff from that link, it looks like they won't just pull all their stuff from the ps3. they'll just shift their focus from the ps3 to the wii

i think i read that they were developing 30 some games for the ps3 and only 6 for the wii, and they now see that was a huge mistake

so it looks to me anyways, that you'll still see the maddens of the world on all platforms, but you'll see a lot more wii exclusive games from ea. like maybe the sims won't be on the ps3, but the wii instead

they also said that not only has the ps3 flopped, but it cost twice as much to make a ps3 game as it does a wii game

i don't think ea will be the last to shift their focus

I didn't get my Wii. Go to Target about 15 minutes before the store opened and there was already a line. Actually, i was 4th in line and they had 4 tickets left, but the manager just handed out tickets to whoever, not according to who was in line first. I was pissed.

A guy in line said Toys R Us has 20 of them, but they don't open until 11 am. I drove past there right after I left Target and there were already people standing in line. INSANE!!

maybe try driving to the middle of nowhere to some small town that has a walmart or pamida or something like that

i know up here in the up i've seen 360's at walmart when nobody in the world could find one (actually a few of them. and wii's at a pamida when nobody could find one

you might find that some store in a little farming comunity got a shipment even though the people there could care less

I GOT ONE !!! Went over to Toys R Us about 45 minutes before they opened and got a voucher. At least they did it fair, unlike Target.

I can tell you that my arm is going to be pretty damn sore tomorrow!! I can see why people love this system though, it's fun!! I can see my arms getting in shape, too
