  • Al Gore did not spend $500,000 campaigning for the Best Documentary Oscar for his movie, "An Inconvenient Truth," warning the world of the dangers of man-made global warming. He is only motivated by altruistic reasons and love for his fellow man.

The DVD of his film, by the way, is now available at Amazon.com for $19.99.

Al Gore is the first person to ever spend money marketing a movie.

Hey, Intelligent design is a credible science. Good design and innovation are very undervalued by our society.

Old gas? Change oil? is the engine turning over or not? If its not, check for hidden chunks of ice in it, or put a space heater next to it for a little bit.

It could also be the spark plug or the starter. If it turns over, it could just be a belting coming loose or stretched out or even off.

Snow throwers are very easy to fix. I think you'll be back up and running with just a little bit of work.

                        • I have some very startling, very radical -- some might say hideous -- insights into PackerRats.com's latest equivocations. Here's my side of the story: The basal lie that underlies all of PackerRats.com's disorganized hijinks is that it is a model organization. Translation: PackerRats.com has its moral compass in tact. I doubt you need any help from me to identify the supreme idiocy of those views, but you should nevertheless be aware that I surely don't want to have to listen to PackerRats.com's evil billingsgate. The best example of this, culled from many, would have to be the time PackerRats.com tried to convert lush forests into arid deserts. Isn't it odd that the worst sorts of oligophrenic nitwits there are, whose stingy lifestyle will compromise the things that define us, including integrity, justice, love, and sharing when you least expect it, are immune from censure? Why is that? I, for one, would venture the answer has something to do with phallocentrism. To elaborate, we can divide PackerRats.com's campaigns into three categories: wrongheaded, obnoxious, and bloodthirsty.

Most people don't realize that PackerRats.com has already revealed its plans to misdirect our efforts into fighting each other rather than into understanding the nature and endurance of audacious paternalism. It revealed these plans in a manifesto bearing all of the hallmarks of having been written by a nerdy, avaricious riffraff. Not only is its manifesto entirely lacking in logic, relentlessly subjective, and thoroughly anecdotal, but PackerRats.com's claim that embracing a system of neocolonialism will make everything right with the world is not only an attack on the concept of objectivity, but an assault on the human mind. Implying that children should get into cars with strangers who wave lots of yummy candy at them is no different from implying that the laws of nature don't apply to PackerRats.com. Both statements are ludicrous. PackerRats.com contends that the Earth is flat and that, therefore, the cure for evil is more evil. This bizarre pattern of thinking leads to strange conclusions. For example, it convinces hotheaded, uneducated heretics (as distinct from the unambitious hoodwinkers who prefer to chirrup while hopping from cloud to cloud in Nephelococcygia) that the most hypocritical boneheads I've ever seen are more deserving of honor than our nation's war heroes. In reality, contrariwise, PackerRats.com has convinced a lot of people that every word that leaves its mouth is teeming with useful information. One must pause in admiration at this triumph of media manipulation. In a nutshell, catty allotheism is PackerRats.com's quiddity.
