Hi Swede.

I screwed up on that first Dire Strait's 'Sutan of Swing' post and missed the link to the actual video I watched last night. That was a 4 minute quiet versin of his guitar solo from that awesome song. I went back to that this evening and can't find the same clip. I will continue to try to find it as it was beautiful to see.

I loved the version I saw...a lot of dynamic range, including a soft section. Thanks for posting it.

On a weird aside, I sometimes try to imagine how great it would have been to have been around in the Big Band era. Imagine having Benny Goodman come to your town. The wooden floors of the old ballroom shaking with a thousand kids dancing as Goodman went nuts on a clarinet solo. Tell me that wouldn't have been fun.

I think that era may have to return in some form once again. I think brian Setzer is messing around with it now.
