Matt Bernstein, the UW Madison fullback, did not get drafted

The pack should pick him up...wait they don't pick up UW prospects.

I really liked Bernstein as a fullback. He was a tough blocker and was a fullback who could run effectively with the ball.

I read somewhere that Bernstein's sports hernia that took him out of the second half of the season is inoperable. That may be the reason why the teams passed on him.

Good question, I guess some think my honesty in regards to a certain QB makes me a basher.

Wow, this was a blast to read with 20/20 hindsight. Especially the Reggie Bush rumor.

And I missed it all over at JSO. Damn.

Dam!!!!! I wasn't a member yet and had no idea it went to 113 pages. I'm suprised the site didn't blow up. :P

I will be here this year and hopefully it goes even higher. Do you think I should go back and try to read all those pages?

I anxiously await spending this year's draft here. You guys are basically my only company on draft day.

I wonder if we'll hit 200 pages this year. The 2007 draft isn't as exciting as the 2006 draft just as a function of "who's in it and where we're picking," but there's more of us now.

It was alot of fun following the draft here. I truly hope ESPN does a better job covering it this year. Last year was pretty bad, IMHO.

Exactly. I had a friend over last year who was a fair-weather Packfan, at the most. He wanted to do something else by the 7th pick. And he was shocked when I told him I planned to spend almost my whole day watching the draft. I might watch it this year with my friend who is definitely more educated than him. Also, I can take with his Dad who is die-hard, but a bit over the top.

It's just extremely hard to find kids my age who are really into it and not just talking out of their ass half the time. That's why I love this place, almost everybody here knows their stuff and is enjoyable to talk with.

LOL one of my co-workers taped a cartoon on my office door ....showed an angry person showing pics of his last vacation, saying "this is where I was during the draft last year, thanks to my wife". The gender of the cartoon was off, but the point still came across.....lol

I have to work on draft day this year. But if the Packers trade down, I might be able to get home to see their 1st round pick. :D

So for one day you park the white van in an alley, find a good sports bar, follow the draft, lug the mail home with you and deliver it all on Monday.

I'm sure your supervisor would understand.

So who had the best draft last year in retrospect?

It certainly looks like the Packers, Saints and Texans have to be near the top.

That was fun going back over a few dozen pages.

My apologies to Reggie Bush. He fell into a great situation and NO made intelligent use of his abilities.

NoNo Moss made a huge funny when he said at least one Bush would end up doing well for New Orleans.

Just read some hilarious posts in this thread. Man, people thought Gado and Green were the shit before last off-season.

Hahahaha

This is a classic PR thread. I am sure we have all made some statements that look very foolish in hindsight.

If you see a mailman running through his route, slapping mail in the boxes, you'll know who he is...The neighborhood folks can have a block party to sort out the mail he got wrong.
