Great move on his part to divert attention away from his involvement.
yep. i doubt at any point he was asked about his health

but he decided to throw it out there to get the sympathy vote even though it had nothing to do with the hearing

      what a complete POS

      • The only thing Favre is guilty of is petitioning his government for funding to build a new arena at USM.
Slimy on many levels given the boat loads of money Deanna and him have, but whippy shit.

He’s still one of the best QB’s to ever play the game, he’s ours and Wisconsin and millions of Packer fans love every bone in his body.

From what I've read, this might be the more accurate statement.

          • Who's this Brent guy you all are speaking of? Is he related to that Jets QB that everyone still talks about?

Yeah that could be why so many hate him like it was their money that got jacked.

If you are referring to MG confronting him at that signing, I agree. BF seemed legit friendly and then bewildered.

                    • Falling down for Strahan was a dumb thing to do. Weird thing is how Brett was impacted the least by it.
Strahan caught a lot of flak about it - what was he supposed to do, not sack the QB?

Gastineau had a right to be mad about it IMO, but TJ Watt has a share of that sack record now anyway so he should just let it go. Sucked for him from an autograph/appearance $ and HOF candidacy, but I wouldn't go out of my way to sink to Brett's level.

                      • In 1968 Denny McLain of the Detroit Tigers served up a meatball so an aging Mickey Mantle could surpass Jimmie Foxx on the all-time HR kings list. Nobody seemed offended on Foxx's behalf (he'd died the year before).

It's a sign of respect from one great player to another. If Mark Gastineau's self-esteem is so much based on that sack record, then he's in a bad place.

                        • Saw a cameo of Favre - where people pay him to say happy birthday, get well, etc.

Anyways / he talked about his Parkinson’s and its impact on him. You can tell he’s facing the reality that every day will be worse than the last.

He also said he collects tshirts from all the stadiums he’s played at… and he doesn’t have one from Lambeau.

                          How weird is that?

That sums it up for me. If it was my friend I would have probably did the same. I remember most of the game Favre went out of his way to deny the sack early. Strahan went hard and that excellent OL kept stopping him.

I don’t think I have seen Brett really deny he let him have it. Just cracks that hick smile. Maybe he also wanted to be the QB on the record. Pairs well with the INTs record.

If I remember correctly, the OL was close to some record for fewest sacks allowed or maybe some contract bonus. The Favre "sack" cost the OL the record and/or some cash.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.
