That would be legal I think. Players can call each other all they want to and say what they want.
You'll hear that stuff in interviews at the Pro Bowl actually. "Hey, you gotta sign with us, man". Lots of that sort of thing.

I'm not so sure. I think they may just ignore it, but it might still be tampering. Unless they don't consider players as part of the club, which is possible, but seems unlikely. Plus, making an off-the-cuff comment or two is a bit different than a series of calls and lobbying.Originally posted by RastakOriginally posted by AtlPackFanMarch of '08???Originally posted by mngolf19Interview with the Vikes announcer today said that Longwell was likely the biggest contributor to getting Favre in purple. Personally, I don't think there is much doubt the Minnesota *could* have been dinged for tampering, but that could probably be said for most teams at one point or another.
Found this definition from the NFL:
The term tampering as used within the NFL refers to any interference by a member club with the employer/employee relationship of another club or any attempt by a club to impermissibly induce the person to seek employment with that club or with the NFL.

Brett Favre had another career day. He passed for 88% or was 22 for 25 and four TD's. That four TD game set him up for another NFL record or the most 4 TD or more games, passing the great Dan Marino.** Since 2006 3 X Pro Pickem' Champion; 4 X Runner-Up and 3 X 3rd place.
