Looking forward to seeing you and superfan at the Tavern at some point this year. We'll continue are Brandon Jackson argument then."There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. I especially miss OPF and Pip. I so wish they'd come back.
OPF drove me back to my hotel after the game. Ziggy and I had seats next to one another. PiPs husband and I split the dinner bill, even though I had lobster. What a great couple they are.
I miss those guys. And, I miss Bretsky. Where the fuck is he? HUH?

of course. What would a guy who spent time as a player going through training camps and seasons possibly know about what other players might be thinking.Originally posted by JoemailmanI doubt Lavar Arrington knows much about what the Viking players are thinking. This week will be the key one. If Favre struggles against the Lions, then he and the team are in big trouble. If he does well, he and the team still have a chance to salvage a good season. The only time success comes before work is in the dictionary -- Vince Lombardi

I got the Sunday Ticket (for free) so no need to go to the Tavern. You and superfan are welcome to come on over for free beer and munchies. I live about 2 miles from the Tavern. Let me know if you're interested.Originally posted by HarveyWallbangersLooking forward to seeing you and superfan at the Tavern at some point this year. Especially if the Claymaker is still running wild in opponents' backfields.Originally posted by MadScientistWill Bert quit before the GB game?
If the Vikings are 1-4 or even 0-5 and the Packers are 5-1 or better, will Bert just retire rather than face a likely beating at Lambeau? My guess is that he will. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro ~Hunter S.

I haven't thought specifically about the Packer/Vike game, but it has crossed my mind that if the Vikes continue to flounder, Brent might decide to hang 'em up midseason.Originally posted by MadScientistWill Bert quit before the GB game?

But the Vikes might win a bunch in a row, too.
Still, I credit Zig for being the first to point out that Brent's big fear has always been that he'd hang on too long - and maybe now he has realized that fear."The Devine era is actually worse than you remember if you go back and look at it."

And yes, I already realize how terrible of a person I am for saying that...Go PACK

Nice score on the free Ticket. No self respecting GB fan would turn down Packer game, free beer, munchies. Just a couple questions first:Originally posted by Cheesehead CraigI got the Sunday Ticket (for free) so no need to go to the Tavern. 1. Do you perhaps have a well in your basement, with a bucket that can be used to pass down food, dogs, lotion, etc?
2. At any point will you refer to Harvey or I as "gimp"?
If the answer to both of these questions is "No", then I'm in. If the answer to either or both of those questions is "Yes", then I'll need some more information before deciding to come over - TV screen size, brands and quantities of beer and munchies, etc."My problems with him are his vision and tendency to dance instead of pounding a hole." - Harvey Wallbangers

Ok, I'm a little concerned here. Your answer implies that if there is a "Yes" AND a "No" it leaves a little gray area.Originally posted by superfanNice score on the free Ticket. Minnesota's favorite 40 year old re-tread coming from a hated rival in order to give himself one more shot to win it all:
After lunch the players lounged about the hotel patio watching the surf fling white plumes high against the darkening sky. Clouds were piling up in the west… Vince Lombardi frowned.
