I'm not believing that? Who brought up Favre? You. Get that shit out of here. He's gone and its over.

Our team sucks. Aaron Rodgers is a journeyman quarterback. It's week 14. The "he's a first year starter" excuse doesn't hold water. He is now an experienced vet finishing up his 4th year in the league. No more excuses.

We scored 16 points today and had one touchdown. We held the other team to 20 points. How many points are we expected to hold the other team to? I'm getting damn sick of the offense getting a free ride, despite underachiving with so much more talent, than the D, which has been a pleasant surprise and has done well bending-but-not-breaking against opposing offenses.

I agree. Grant is faster but Jackson is more powerfull. Jackson is the same weight as Grant but about 3 inches shorter. He's packed tighter, handles getting hit better and being shorter he has better balance so he can bounce off taclkers and make things happen when there is nothing there.

There is plenty of blame to go aroudn the entire team, but I plant most of it on the defense. That defense is just awfull.
Maybe Aaron should become more of a fucking leader instead of a little girl.

How can you blame the defense? They gave up 20 fucking points. The offense scored 16 fucking points. That is pathetic. This might be the worst offense in the NFL. They cannot score touchdowns.

Blaming the defense is moronic. How many points are we expected to hold the Jaguars to? Last week it was 21, now its 20.

NEWSFLASH: The NFLs all-time best defense in its entire rich history said they tried to hold a team to under 17 points.

Is that the standard we should have? Do we have the talent of the all-time greatest defense in NFL history?

Giving up 20 points is fine. With out offensive talent we should have put up 35-40 at least.
Sometimes you don't get it. There's plenty of blame to go around but these posts about Rodgers not being a winner (I know that wasn't you) or about him not being the answer are kind of foolish. Some people want to lay the blame on the defense others all on the offense and those people put all that blame on Rodgers. Rodger has played better that anyone could have really hoped, not our future QB, what a load of crap. He's is our future at the position and he's going to be fine, better than fine. Probably excellent.

It's not about point totals all the time. Why can't the defense get a stop when the game is on the line. This is the fourth or fith time this year where the offense (our pathetic QB and our pathetic offense) have gotten us a late game lead and the defense cannot get a stop. I'm fully cognizant of Rodgers and the offense failing to answer in a few of those games as well. But to sit here and say the defense only gave up 20 points, how can you blame them is so shortsighted. It's easy they fucking suck. They are 90% of the reason for our now 5-9 record. If it you can't see that, that's your problem. The offense isn't stellar but they've done enough to win games in almost all of our losses. The offense has not been that much (if at all) worse than what it was last year, we've beaten that point to death so don't bring up the defensive touchdowns again please. The defense on the other hand, has been much worse.
        GO PACK!!!!

Hopefully it works out favorably for the Pack, but I just don't understand how people can't see that Favre is on his way out. The Packers made a smart long term move, and unless Brett Favre can kick field goals, play defensive line, and provide depth in several lacking positions, then we don't need him.

          Suck it up whiners.
Get ready for some losing seasons.
Why, because this year was a losing season? Do you honestly think every year is going to look like this year?

He is having a very good season. Is he having an HOF type of year. NO. But for God's sake quit laying the blame for defensive meltdowns at this guy's feet. He didn't drop the sure TD catch, Grant did.

Tell me the lottery numbers this week. It's obvious you can see what happens. Grant woulda caught that ball and had a first down...I don't think it would have been a TD. Rodgers hasn't proven anything. He starts off playing as good as anyone, but once his defense sucks and they start to crumble, so does Rodgers. He can't handle it.
TV guys said it would have been a walk in TD. How is this Arod's fault?
TV guys are always right. It was on the 20 yard line. If Troy Aikman said he'd sell you beach front property in Arizona...would you write down the number? It's not Rodgers fault that we lost...it's Rodgers' fault we didn't win. He makes the big bucks because he wins games...now he just needs to win a game.
I wasn't at the game, so I rely on the TV and radio guys to tell me what I can't see. Both radio and TV said it would have been a TD.

No shit. 4 guys go deep when we have a TO and over 40 seconds left. Keep going with the 10-15 yd underneath stuff. Plenty of time.

Dude, we average < 20 points a game now offensively. That is terrible. We had 1 touchdown today. 1. 1. One touchdown. Against one of the worst defenses in the league in rebuilding mode.

Are you kidding me?!? Our offense is abysmal. The scary thing is we have the deepest receiving corps with a top 5 one-two combo there, a decent RB that is healthy, and a pretty solid OL.

                You tell me.
Yeah that solid OL and good RB sure helped Rodgers today by running for 56 yards on 21 carries against that horrible defense!
Well, when your quarterback can't get the ball to either of their two all-pro receivers.. the other team can keep 8-9 in the box and shut down the run.

Yeah plays where it seems if Grant were running he would go two yards and fall down...; Jackson might get 7-8 yards out of it. And then back goes in Grant to do his usual get two yards and fall down business.

You wanted them to lose, so you are probably pretty happy.

Want is a strong word; losses don't hurt anymore with this team. I stated early on I wanted them to win 48-47 and I stick by that

Curious; did you watch the first half of the Jets game ? Because if you put both half's together I would disagree that Favre was horrible.
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

Ummm... wrong again. I'm tired of correcting you on this. Before today, we averaged 22.5 points/game on offense--which was easily in the top 1/2 of the league.
27.3 pts/game going into today's game which is 4th in the NFL. Defense easily in the bottom half.

                            • Agreed about the more Jackson thing, I also wouldn't mind seeing the Packers spend that 2nd on a RB, Slaton was a 3rd this year. One thing that doesn't get measured at the combine is heart. I watched Slaton carry two Titans on atleast 2 seperate occasions an extra 3 or 4 yards for a first down.

I'm not addressing anymore of the idiocy being spewed from angry fans. If you can't look at something objectively and recognize the problem you end up making passionate arguments which hold little truth.

Zig... you're not thinking about this intelligently... It's law of averages.

Also, how many times can you hold a defense? I asked last week, what is a reasonable amount of points to hold the opposing team to? 20 points is below the average in the NFL, so our team did the job.

You can only hold an offense in tact so many times. Had we scored a touchdown, the entire makeup of the game changes. Instead, Aaron fumbled the ball and damn near the cost the team the game right there. Luckily, Donald Lee made a spectacular play and we ended up still getting those points on the board.
