Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Luke Musgrave’s neck injury goes back to the mandatory minicamp, when he dropped out of practice.

LaFleur said oft-injured RB MarShawn Lloyd is not a rep count, "but we have learned from our experience that I think we want to gradually get him more involved and see where it goes."

LaFleur said there isn't a long-term concern with NT Javon Hargrave's injury. He'll start on PUP but LaFleur said it was because he showed up with something.

Matt LaFleur says he’s learned to “temper expectations” with rookie kickers and have patience through their ups and downs. After having Anders Carlson and Brayden Narveson, Packers are now relying on rookie kicker Trey Smack.

Matt LaFleur's message to his team yesterday on cusp of training camp: "This is as excited as I've ever been coaching this football team in my time here, and it's because of the people we have in the room."

FWIW, Banks will be practicing today.

Gute on offensive line: "I really like that group. I think we've got some guys in places this year that make a little more sense."
A veiled shot at how the coaching staff handled the OL last year?

Sure sounds like it. But he also signed Aaron Banks to a monster contract, so he can't say too much.

Wonder who the first training camp injury will be.

Long snapper Matt Orzech is sidelined (calf) and Gutekunst said they'll have to bring someone in off the street to handle the position until he's healthy.
Sean Rhyan is the emergency long snapper for today/now.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Aaron Banks and Stackhouse both practiced.

Musgrave has a neck. La Fleur sounded like they didn’t have a timeline on it yet.

Hargrave and Orzech not expected to be long term issues.

Jager Burton left practice and returned without his helmet.

Nixon (new), Brooks and Brant Banks of blocked FG fame have hamstrings. Nixon missing time might help young ones.

Musgrave with a lingering neck injury is just perfect.

Tom said he will be playing week 1. Burton said it was his hamstring. Kraft predicts he’s coming off PUP soon.

starting oline with Tom and Banks getting slowly rotated in, was Morgan Monk Rhyan Belton Kinnard

Burton and Keisean Nixon have a hamstrings. Gute has hinted in the past he thought Morgan looked good enough in preseason to start.

Because i feel pedantic, are all our linebackers off-ball linebackers?

I think we all thought that. Everyone was surprised when late injuries got him moved inside.

The EDGE's are not off-ball linebackers. The true question is when can a lineBACKER not be off the line? Seems preposterous.

Nixon should be out there today, LaFleur says. Was experiencing some tightness. Burton will not practice today.

Matt LaFleur says he likes Skyy Moore’s burst in the return game, but he isn’t closing the door on what he can give offense. Thinks he has potential as a receiver also. Will get opportunities to show that in camp.

Matt LaFleur said the disguises from Jonathan Gannon’s defense have already stood out. That was something Jeff Hafley prized (but backed off last year)

Matt LaFleur pleased with rookie cornerback Brandon Cisse’s early introduction here: “The skillet, I think we can all see that. But he’s a guy who’s hungry. For a young guy, he’s a pretty mature kid. He loves football.”

Matt LaFleur says there has been “lengthy discussion” with edge rushers about how to practice without pads, notably to actually “work an edge” instead of running through OL: “We don’t want to see any bull rush out there. It’s just hard to do when you don’t have pads on.”

LaFleur said Love has been focused during the off-season with as much balance as possible when in the pocket. Said QBs are more consistent with their throws when they maintain balance. Love has often thrown off his back foot at times, especially after getting moved off the spot.
