  • I've never liked glover or Jennings. I'm much more into having interior guys and exterior guys. Enough with the tweener skill set already.

Ah. So they really will only play a nose tackle maybe 30% of the time?

Interesting. Stackhouse and Ford the only "true" nose tackles. I know Hargreave has played there but clearly is not intended to here, and McClellan is talked about as playing nose but he doesn't seem like he's quite huge enough. Stackhouse weighs about fifteen pounds more and Ford weighs about twenty-five pounds more.

      • Is "no nose tackle" a description of position or technique or strategy? How does that work in execution?

A nose tackle is a DL that lines up over the center and is often responsible for both A gaps. A good nose tackle needs to be stout enough to anchor against a double team without getting pushed back. Not sure how much Gannon utilizes a NT.
