Am I the only one who's tired of trying to convert tackles who can't play NFL tackle to guards? What's wrong with drafting a damn guard to play guard???
I know there's a lot of reasons. A lot of college guards don't have the athleticism to play in the NFL at all. The guys with better feet and hands tend to play tackle in college. But there's something to say for drafting a guy built like a fire hydrant.
i'm with ya
i'm sick of moving all these guys around all the time too. put them in a spot and leave them there to learn that spot
since tt is in a dealing mood he needs to give up one of the fives and one of the sixes to get another four.
remember pre draft as most felt there were many hybrid DL who could make that switch to OLB in the 3-4
Use those picks to take some flyers on those guys, grab a FB, P
Not sure there are any no brainers to trade up for now
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER
At this point, I'm not enamored with picking an OT. They all look like developmental picks and none look like starters. We have several developmental OL as it is. I'm okay with RB, TE, OT, DE, CB, or P at this point.
throw some of the names from your wishlist out there
Some good players left IMO
Actually, what I meant was: some people seemed to want an OT only, as if that guy would fill our starting RT need. At this point, I don't expect any player to be a starter year one. I say get BPA at one of the positions I listed. I have no idea about Lang. Maybe he was. Is Mike Mickens or Kevin Barnes still available? I saw Sammie Lee Hill is gone.

MM even alluded to the fact that they keep moving guys all over the place as a reason why the OL is such a mess... but, then in the next breath, he says they value "versatility".
I'm with ya, draft a freakin G, and play him at G, draft a freakin C, and play him at C, draft a freakin OT, and play him OT... geez.
I'm surprised Sidbury is still on the board, I would have thought he'd go in teh second or third. Is he that raw and/or bad against the run?
Complete guess here, but I'm guessing he can handle rushing the passer and playing the run as a rush linebacker. I'm guessing teams think he can't cover worth a lick. Just a guess.
Maybe 4-3 teams think he's just too small to put on the line.

...he's still the biggest baby ever born in Louisiana! That's funny that the doctor still calls his mom to let him know. He's a big guy, but he can move, so he may still fit in a ZBS if his footwork is ok; looked like his lateral agility is pretty good (there's a little video piece on him). I don't think we should be done with OL picks...it was a weak spot overall last year; Rodgers was running for his life at times.
