Sounds like big, bad dudes who can run are hard to find.

    • Awesome pick for the Jets. Vlad Ducasse.

      • I actually like the choice of this guy. He's a pass rusher. Can't have too many of them.
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

        • from FF Toolbox : Mike Neal was possibly the most dominating defensive lineman during the week of practice at the East-West Shrine Game. He consistently beat offensive linemen off the ball and looked even quicker than he had at Purdue. He registered 2 tackles during the game, and because he can play in the 4-3 or 3-4, may have raised his stock into the late second round.

Neal was again impressive during Senior Bowl week, showing his quickness off the ball during practices. He tallied 1 tackle and 0.5 tackles for loss during the game, and continues to be a late second or early third round prospect.
This probably had alot to do with it

              • It's hard for me to be too critical of a front seven pick... you win games up front - that said, I'd work to keep both Jenkins and Jolly, deal with Jolly's status as it comes up, and look elsewhere on the defensive side of the ball to improve what I consider to be an overrated defense.

To me, Jolly was our best DL last year... guy has a lot of ability. Regardless of his legal status, he's not going to be banished. Sign him at a discount b/c of his legal troubles, and plug him in at DE for the next 4 years.

You've got Raji to play End too... and I'd prefer him there. Raji is a load b/c of his size, but what makes him really dangerous is his quickness and strength. I'd prefer to see Raji at End on base downs, and inside rushing the passer on passing downs.

                • Trgovac on Neal:

Good athlete, good numbers, productive. Has great inside move with quickness, Vac will need to teach him some counter technique.

Played a ton of snaps, and didn't come off the field. Not worried about reports he wore down. Leader.

Played 3 technique, translates to 5 tech in Okie (3-4). Also, Dom plays nearly 50% of snaps with 5 technique tackles because the Okie won't let teams runs on Pack. Cites Okie as reason for run success. I suppose this means that teams swap personnel to get different front out of Pack.

Shawn Herock: Happy that the player did not remember the Packer questioning him. Liked operating under the radar on the guy. Talked to him at Bowl game. Following him for two years.

Likes his initial quickness. Did not worry about report on motor. Guy played a high number of snaps and did not leave game. Likes his pursuit and intensity. Captain.

Thinks he will be a good inside rusher.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

YEah, that makes a lot of sense. Thompson loves the guys who star at the college all star games. It's why we have Matthews, for instance.
