Same for Jermichael thoOriginally posted by rbalohaBPA. My guess is the players at this position are not better than Jones. Jones played well and should only get better.Originally posted by FritzFirst of all, it's a fifth round pick. Everybody picked in a fifth round is going to have some perceived flaws.
Second, what's wrong with someone to push Donald Lee?
And what must Teddy think of Brad Jones, then?[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

I'd keep Quarless over Donald Lee, and Havner is a question mark after that motorcycle accident. He will make this team. I just don't think neglecting some better options at #154 was justified.Originally posted by imscott72Yea I have to question whether Quarless will even make the team.Originally posted by PatlerIf this is a BPA situation, I sure hope he was head and shoulder above the best CB, LB, RB, or even QB available.
Seems like a sort of waste, with Finley, Lee and Havner on board.Chuck Norris doesn't cut his grass, he just stares at it and dares it to grow

Funny how many people complain about Donald Lee during the season, but then say we don't need a TE. Apparently, people are overrating Havner because of his 4 TDs (on 7 receptions).Originally posted by FritzFirst of all, it's a fifth round pick. Who knows if the guy will be good, but he sounds mildly intriguing (he timed faster than Finley). What if Ted hits a homer on this pick and we have two TEs that can stretch the field?"There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson

Quarless "The night of my DUI was the last time I had a drink".."Coach Paterno was ready to let me go. I stopped drinking. It was a sacrifice I had to make". Also says the weed wasn't his as he lived in a house with 3 other guys..www.ccso228@twitter.com

This is funny. Quarles retired a few years ago.Originally posted by OS PARumormonger - Packers traded ??? for Shelton Quarles, OLB, Tampa Bay"There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. This reminds me of the Matt Flynn pick a few years ago. It's a, "had no choice" BPA pick.
I'm definitely wanting a CB, OLB and P but I'd rather have a guy they think can be a really good player than a guy they don't believe in. There is UDFA and fringe free agents that don't cost a thing if you want guys you don't believe in. The draft is an opportunity to take players that other teams also want.Formerly known as JustinHarrell.

NFLN reports that Jason Campbell sent to the Raiders.
They didn't say where to send the condolence messages.[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.
