      True

      He was very impressive today.
Two punts down in side the 20 yard line. Good hang time. MVP runner up.

      • Rodgers didn't have a great day, but he didn't give the ball up either. That's all they needed from him today.

peprah has played pretty good as a starter

worst case scenario is we have a reliable backup SS
The play of Bishop and Peprah might be the biggest reason the Packers have survived the rash of injuries on defense.
... + CJ Wilson, BJ Raji, Sam Shields and even Tramon Williams to a certain extent.

These guys have all surpassed expectations. Would lead me to think this coaching staff is top notch, A+ level with development and preparation.
          What about Matshay's punting????

Looking at the line, 8 punts, 5 inside the 20, no returns? OMFG!

OTOH, 30yd kickoff return, and one 47 yards long. How can those two units perform so differently?

          • This is a big win. Incredible. Masthay, Bishop, Green, Raji, the defensive backfield.

            Losers: Rodgers, the wide receivers.

AR did right and just enough vs Jets rhino defense; I'm baffled by JJ as he's becoming Fergy V 2.0 before my eyes.

Stop the big return, get one ourselves and win the field position battle I think that's the key this week.

Oh, and making our FGs as well.
Had to give myself a pat on the back. Called this before the game started.

AR not a hero but not a loser either; AR threw it away when needed and no turnovers.

GJ was ok; rest sucked [at times].

Swain looks like more than just a pre-season body - just sayin'

D & Capers rocks - they are the reason for 5-3 record.

                      O & McCarthy didn't kill us tonight.

ST had a fine game - finally.

So later in the year people will say we can't win a close game and I will say FUCK YOU!
We have a couple of threads for that.

And FWIW, you won't hear that out of me. I am very impressed with the D today. They played a great game all over the field. I expected them to fade in the 4th but they didn't.

Maybe the new guy is taking some of the pressure off and they don't have to play as many snaps? Not sure, just grateful.

My prediction of an 11 point win was only off by two.

And yes, I am taking a bow.

Ugly, but great road win. If they could just steal a couple of these versus non-division NFC foes, they would be all set.
                            Good call PB.

I meant to give you props on the AFC is overrated call (esp after today) but I spend most of my day chasing an 11 month around the room and can mostly post in driveby fashion .

I think you're right though, and that there is mainly just more separation between top and bottom in the AFC than in the NFC.

                            • Howard Green was great! That play on the end-around... to get back there that quick and disrupt that play. Plus 2-3 more tackles. Exactly what we needed, count me in!

                              GPG!

                              • Man, this was big. Now there is no reason to get big-headed...the offense sucked ass today. No reason to get overconfident. Get ready for Dallas!

A huge, huge win today. Huge. Like last year's Dallas game.

Think of the confidence in that locker room right now.
