But Stokley backed out after the Skins signed other receivers, so a crowded position and the fact that James Jones will command more salary than Stokley makes Washington an unlikely landing place for him.

I think they should have a lockout every season. I don't like spring football one bit, it's a bunch of empty speculation. Preseason is exciting, seeing the prospects in pads playing scrimmage games. Having a free agency frenzy doubles the fun.

I'm surprised Jenkins hasn't been offered a larger contract sooner. But I see that John Elway wants to operate just like Daniel Snyder and Jerry Jones (of the last few years) do - brazenly, with little regard for on-the-field results.
