Al Harris going to Rams.
As is Mike Sims-Walker.Last edited by Joemailman; 07-29-2011, 08:44 PM.I can't run no more

While the killers in high places
Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up

True--but the players listen a lot better when you're winning as much as the Patriots have the past decade.Originally posted by imscott72 View PostNeither does Shanahan..Teamwork is what the Green Bay Packers were all about. Sims-Walker is an intriguing add for the Rams. They are moving in the right direction. Not nearly as "right" as the Eagles. Of course, in 3 years, the Eagles are going to be scrapping and rebuilding, so they'd better cash in while they have the chance.

Couldn't the Packers play the Eagles next year, as two NFC games are determined by the order of finish in the division? Or is the NFC East not up next year at all?Originally posted by Lurker64 View PostThe thing is, we don't play them this year and we're not scheduled to play them next year. A team you don't play can't be that huge a threat.
Also, this pretty much guarantees that Samuel has to be moved, as DRC/Asomugha are press-man CBs and Samuel is an off-zone corner. It's hard to mix them, since Samuel doesn't really play man and Asomugha doesn't really play zone.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Yeah, if both the Packers and Eagles finish in the same place in their divisions this year (both first, both second, etc.) then they play each other (which is why I said "we're not scheduled to play them", not "we won't play them.) But why would we worry about games the season after the one that's coming up? A lot's going to happen between then and now.Originally posted by pbmax View PostCouldn't the Packers play the Eagles next year, as two NFC games are determined by the order of finish in the division? Disappointing. I have a bad feeling this is where Thompson's aversion to FA comes back to haunt us. I know paper champions don't normally win, but the Eagles look formidable. I know we have some extensions to do, but couldn't we get a little bit creative?"There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson

Very fair. Our problem is we have some pretty big time players coming up for contracts and we can't keep them all. Colledge and Jones were alright players for us. Jenkins was really good.
Ted has done a great job adding young talent. There is no saying what new, excellent players are going to emerge this year. We lost a couple decent players and a really good one, yeah, but I'll bet more than 2 decent players and one really good one emerge this year.
When you draft and develop from within, sometimes the results have to speak for themselves on the field, not in the news paper during free agency time.
I'm not going to lie, I fear the Eagles a little right now. Nnamdi is 30 years old. Jenkins is 30 years old. One is dominant. The other is really good. They got better, no doubt. And the Cromartie trade helped too. They're going to be tough to beat.
I think they have reason to fear us too.Last edited by RashanGary; 07-30-2011, 03:40 PM.Formerly known as JustinHarrell.
