    Bengals traded 1/#21 to Patriots for 1/#27 and 3/#93 - 800 for 808
I thought NE got a good deal to move up 6 spots for the cost of a late 3rd, but the chart says that's pretty even.

That must be correct, because nfl.com lists 4/118 - "Vikings (From Falcons though Browns)"

When you apply some rational analysis, they traded down one spot, still got the player they intended to draft anyway, and picked up two extra draft picks. They are getting two picks for nothing.
I agree with this analysis rather than the value chart because there was no risk of moving away from the higher pick (at least in retrospect).

The picks in later years can be valued one round lower for each year out and unless you have a strong feeling how the Redskins will perform, just make it the middle pick of 16th or 17th.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Ya, that's what they usually do, #16 one round later, but that is speculative enough that I prefer "(?)"!

Vikings general manager Rick Spielman proved to be the shrewdest among the wheelers and dealers. He was able to get three additional picks from the Cleveland Browns and still get the player the Vikings wanted -- left tackle Matt Kalil.

How much of a football god does RG3 have to become to make that trade look good? One SB?

Either 1 SB (and several years in the hunt) or a HOF career. I wouldn't fault the skins if he has a Dan Marino, Jim Kelly or Fran Tarkenton career. If he bombs, Ryan Leaf no longer becomes the worst draft trade-up pick.
