Aaron Rodgers QB Rating was 131.8 with 4 TD's 0 Picks and 365 yards.Originally posted by pittstang5 View PostThe defense will be fired up next week, they have to be or we have no chance.
Greg Jennings (worked both the slot and outside very well) and Jordy Nelson combined for over 200 yards through the air and 3 TD's. James Jones checked in with over 6o yards and a TD.
We saw a fine 5 yards per carry Avg. rushing day from Dujuan Harris.
WOW! Mason Crosby was 2/2 on FG attempts.
J. Ross looked great returning KOs and punts.

But it was a turnover so those are automatically reviewed.Originally posted by Guiness View PostOk, I understand that you can't challenge on a scoring play.
But...it was not ruled a score. It was ruled a fumble, not a score. So it's not automatically reviewed.
Sounds a lot like a catch-22 to me.

We lost this game because Dom Capers is a moron. I agree with Wist. Why not play man coverage and challenge their pathetic Wr's? 3rd and 11, 3rd and 12, etc, rushes only 3 guys and plays the corners deep - first down each time. Are you hoping the QB falls down?? Really, is that the plan?? One play Williams is covering a fullback and is playing off 15 yards - first down on 2nd and very long.
Their WR’s are not beating our corners straight up in man coverage!! Does he at least learn and alter his game plan?? Fuck no, it doesn’t work so lets just keep doing it no matter how many points they score. He sucked last year and he still sucks now.Draft Brandin Cooks WR OSU!

I expected this team to reach the Super Bowl and coming off a 15-1 season preceded by a Super Bowl title, there was no reason why the 2012 Packers should not be playing Championship caliber football by now. However, I'm also a realist. While this team was definitely the best team in the NFC North this year, they are not a Championship caliber team. Or at least, they have not demonstrated it thus far.Originally posted by esoxx View PostYes mr_blonde, very disconcerting. Very disconcerting that we won the NFC North title (again) and they held serve at their place. Good for them. Sucks that the Packers could only win 9 out of their last 11 games. What a downer.
Let's see your commentary next week after the game in Lambeau. Looking forward to it.
I'm guessing the Packers will be a touchdown favorite next weekend and they will probably cover but make no mistake about it, if they win Saturday they are going to have to play their BEST football of the season to beat the 49ers. The Packers have played only two games all year where they "put it all together". That being the Houston and Tennessee games.
Today's game was the Packers first "playoff" game. They failed miserably. It was very disconcerting and all Packer fans should realize that this team has many shortcomings that need to be overcome quickly (or addressed in the off-season) in order to reach Championship caliber play that we all should expect given the overall talent level of this team.

OK I"ll try this:Originally posted by ThunderDan View PostI am starting to wonder that Dom didn't want to empty his whole playbook in case we lost and had to play them again next week. To me that is horrible logic but against TENN we were blitzing like crazy and then this week we played off a lot.
Last week we were playing Tennessee.
Last week the Vikings defeated the Texans at home and were set to make the playoffs.
Last week we were playing Tennessee, OK ....

I was sitting on my couch thinking... 'we need to rush three and cover no one' - I was shocked, shocked I tell you!!! when it didn't workOriginally posted by esoxx View PostGood call wist. It's always good to hear your one dimensional thinking.
Please chime in after next week's game in Lambeau Field. I look forward to your cogent analysis as always.

I agree play the receivers man to man. Check how often the Viking receivers run their routes 'short' of the first down marker.Originally posted by PaCkFan_n_MD View PostWe lost this game because Dom Capers is a moron. I agree with Wist. Looks like we are the late game at 7pm Central on NBC. Thank God I don't have to listen to that moron Aikman or that metrosexual announcer Joe Buck. How those two doofs can be a number one broadcast team is beyond me.
Defense clearly needs to play better. If Christian Ponder can bet a 100+ QB rating on us, that's shameful. We tackle better, that screen to Gerhart doesn't get anywhere and Peterson gets reasonably controlled.
Obviously want to go as far as possible in the playoffs, but this team needs to win a home playoff game, especially since it's against the Queens.
Williams penalty on the 3rd down stop was inexcusable.-digital dean
