  • The Persian guy?? All 183 lbs of him??

It's camp - every guy on the practice field is only 1 NFL snap away from the HOF.
I know people rag on Bahktiari's weight (or lack of it, esp. compared to guys like D.J Fluker), but keep in mind Matt Kalil was a sandwich over 300 at 6'7" when he was drafted last year and he was a solid LT, rookie or no. In fact, Kalil was sick at the end of the season and played between 280 & 290. I'm more concerned about whether Bahktiari is strong, quick & can block than what he weighs. He'll get bigger, stronger, etc. if he spends time in an NFL weight room.

That said, you're right -- it is camp...so I take everything with some salt.

And if I were Alex Green, I would be polishing my lead-blocking and QB-protection-blocking skills, as well as ST skills. If he can prove to the coaches he can consistently perform those duties, he might be able to replace Kuhn. I mention Green because he has the size and hands to replace Kuhn as a blocker, while Starks, I think, is not the greatest blocker or pass catcher.

All these good RB's - well, we hope they are good, and healthy - would seem to affect the TE position. I'd say DJ Williams and Ryan Taylor are in big danger.
Yup, Ross is getting work as personal protector for the punter, which they said also gives a whole new look for coverage after because of his speed. I didn't realize that Ross is as solidly built as they are now describing him.

Lacy has lined up in the traditional FB spot a few times.

Franklin is supposed to be good in pass pro, and as a receiver out of the backfield. No reason to think Starks and Green can't learn to be.

They have used TE's extensively in traditional FB roles the last couple years.

I think Kuhn's days are numbered.

        No, no, no.

As a self-proclaimed disciple of Wist (whether he knows it or not), I must set you straight. The Packers are not a terrible team, just the defense, mainly because of Capers silly schemes and his spray on hair-do.

DE Datone Jones running with the 1s in first drill with Raji and Pickett.

Man, have I got a streak of being wrong going on.
That's okay. That's what training camp is for. Work all the bugs out now. By September 8 you'll be a lean, mean posting machine.

          • well, i'm happy to say that it looks like i might be wrong about that jones pick

really didn't like the pick at the time because i thought he was too small to be a 3-4 DE

but man, i know its only been 4 days of camp or so, but the guys sounds like a freaking beast on the field

I may need to negotiate a CBA with myself and get some time away from posting. The offseason schedule is brutal!
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

              • McMillan got a lot of praise on practice practice reports today. Lot of first team reps as well.

M3 said he spent a ton of time in Green Bay and really has the defense down pat.

If that's the case, Mcmillan will be the starter.

                  • If Tramon is out, would this be the youngest secondary in the league?

                    Hayward - 23 years old
                    House - 24
                    Hyde - 22
                    Shields - 25

                    Burnett - 24
                    Jennings - 25
                    McMillian - 24

No doubt. Clearly the most talented of the other safeties, just didn't play with much confidence last year.

That's crazy, isn't it? Both of those pictures look off to me, in the LH picture he looks like Natrone Means, in the RH onee he's standing on toothpicks.

DUDE.....Jones was the perfect FIT for our D and I felt that from day one

I am seriously concerned about last year's pick being a bad fith though

We've had WAY too many f'ck ups in round one

It sounds like was got one right....which hasn't seemed to happen in a while
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER
