Good time-consuming drive at the end.One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

pretty impressive
too bad we took our foot off the gas in the second half. i would have liked to see us put them away earlier, but oh well
and this was without a doubt the worst refed game i have ever seen, even worse the the replacement ref fail mary game

Fortunately, the refs in this game didn't do that, although it seemed they were trying.

Same old, same old.Originally posted by mr_blonde View PostRodgers has a 'great' game but doesn't play 'perfect'.
Matthews has at least two sacks.
Lacy runs for 100 yards.
GB offense goes for over 400 yards.
RGIII goes ballistic on GB's leaky secondary.
Other than Matthews, no GB defensive front line pressure.
Washington puts up over 500 yards total offense - easy.
Washington wins the turnover battle - once again, will be the difference in the game.
Washington wins time of possession battle; 35m -25m.
Washington 38 Green Bay 34.
Green Bay fans left once again to wonder .... WTF ....

I will admit .... that was a very impressive win.Originally posted by denverYooper View PostSame old, same old.
Probably could have/should have won by 35.
I am still concerned with the defense .... they played very good in the first half but gave up a lot of yards in the second half. Hopefully, that was only because they played softer in the second half with the large lead.
If Rodgers keeps playing anywhere near the level he has the last two games, he will have his second MVP hands down.
Next week at Cincinnati is another tough and big game. If the Packers are an elite team (the caliber of SF) they need to win. If they can't be Cincinnati, questions will remain.
Play like today and they should win easily.

Why is that last week I was calm after the loss and this week I feel a little edgy after the win? Maybe...
*The early sacks.
*20 yd pass on 3rd and 1-- Okay, okay, we completed it, but still...
*Jones before the half with the turnover at the pylon.
*Would someone please hide McCarthy's flag.
*Residual ref angerment stemming from the Badgers in AZ.
*Someone left the gate open and the dog is full of burrs.
*Merriweather's self inflicted headshot wasn't payback enough.
I can't be happy until I find out he gets a $25,000 fine for injuring himself.[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.
