I was looking at the Packers stats page on Yahoo, and they show a picture of the team leader in each category. For sacks, it was CB Davon House. For interceptions, it was DE/LB Mike Neal. For tackles, it was CB Sam Shields. Just odd."There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson

This is gonna be a tough one, people. Make no mistake.
They've got a stout defense down there, and Dalton may not be a world-beater but he's got weapons and he's got an offensive line. Cinci's a playoff-caliber team.
I am hoping like crazy that the Pack can get a little run mojo going. That would be the key to open the door to victory. Makes the pass game way better and helps keep the Packer D off the field."The Devine era is actually worse than you remember if you go back and look at it."

I don't want to be a broken record, but if they give Dalton time to find receivers, he'll find them, probably over the middle like the 9ers and Redskins did.
It's time for Capers to throw caution to the wind and release the hounds. I'd like to see Matthews and Perry live in their backfield. One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

Hell, I hope both of you are right.Originally posted by George Cumby View PostYou are way smarter and football savvy than I, but I'm with Mish. Bengals are paper.......tigers.
The Bengals have holes, mainly on D.
But so do we.
I think our offense can get going against their secondary, but the Bengals front four can be a real bitch to contain.
If they get good pressure on ARod, it will cover up their iffy secondary.
A lot rides on Dalton. He is erratic as hell. He started very poorly against the Steelers. If Dalton is hitting his passes from the start against us, OUR shaky safeties come into play. If that is the case, the "paper tigers" could be a major pain in the ass.

From Matt Bowen: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1...nto-nfl-week-3
2. Packers’ defensive game plan vs. A.J. Green
I’m thinking the Packers should lean on some 2-Man (two-deep, man-under) this week versus the Bengals wide receiver. That allows defensive backs to sit hard to the inside, play aggressively on intermediate cuts and use the deep half safety over the top.
Yes, the middle of the field can be exposed in 2-Man if the safeties are late to overlap the throw, but taking away the deep ball versus Green has to be a priority.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Congratulations Swede. For outstanding self recognition of a grammatical error in the context of your own post....Originally posted by swede View PostI think there is room for one more crib-crapping before we hit our stride and go 10-1 the rest of the season. Cincinnati is a team we have no business losing to.
Sorry, Captain Kickass, I mean, to whom we have no business losing, which means that we just might make it our business so to do, chagrining us and leading to the rending of garments and the gnashing of teeth prior to the Great Fun Run of 2013.
You've just earned......
TWO GOLD STARS!!!
But yeah you're right. We have no business losing to Cinci. That being said - I feel this game could go either way."Everyone's born anarchist and atheist until people start lying to them" ~ wise philosopher

About Jolly....he certainly hasn't lost his ability to get a hand on those passes. I think I saw 3 tips this past week-end, one being the pass that Hawk got credit for knocking away, it looked to be fluttering. A DB who got 3 defended passes in a game would be highly prized!!!Originally posted by Pugger View PostI would think we'll rush the passer more this week because Dalton is no speed demon. So Kuhn was a no go again. I gotta think he's not going to play Sunday.
I've heard McCarthy say he would use Quarless to block in the FB position. I got to thinking, what the hell is Ryan Taylor on this team for? Is he just like Bush, only good for special teams? You'd think that if you are not a receiving TE for this team, at the least you should be a good blocker. Why hasn't Taylor been taught Kuhn's job.
