Max, the Niners, Seachickens and Panthers all have defenses that can throttle a Flynn-led offense like Detroit did on Thanksgiving. The Packer D is far too beat up to withstand a 15 to 20 minute difference in TOP, even with the just adequate offenses those teams possess. At NO would be a blow out of epic proportions, but I agree that NO could go down hard in Lambeau.

Homefield solves some of the Niner D problem, though it will be tough sledding. It was all Rodgers could do to hang 22, 31 and 28 on them in the last 3 games versus HarbaughOriginally posted by mraynrand View PostMax, the Niners, Seachickens and Panthers all have defenses that can throttle a Flynn-led offense like Detroit did on Thanksgiving. Seriously, Flynn will have a tough time no matter what, though I don't expect T-day level problems at home. The main problem is the defense in this game. The 49ers are not as efficient on offense this year but they can run and pass and the Packers struggle against a quality multi-faceted attack. That is why this game worries me more than others. I haven't looked yet, but I would much prefer to face the Saints with Flynn than the 49ers.
Seahawks at home can give Flynn or Rodgers fits, but I am not afraid of their far more limited attack.
Panthers D will give Packers fits though this road game will not be as tough as New Orleans or Seattle would be. Panthers want to run and the Packers, if faced with a single option, can shut that down. That leaves Newton to worry about. Would help Packer cause if Smith is limited by health. Newton worries me, but he can still be had.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Aaron Rodgers took 1st rep in every drill during open part of practice. Those usually go to the starter but we didn't see 11on11s. #Packers
Jason Wilde @jasonjwilde 3m
Rodgers taking the first snap among QBs in both ball security and in a fundamentals drill on which QBs throw to WRs vs. DBs.
Jason Wilde @jasonjwilde 3m
WR Randall Cobb (leg), who's still on IR-DTR, is also practicing again and did take snaps with Rodgers, J.Jones, Nelson in fundamentals.
Packer Report @PackerReport 3m
Rodgers was 6-for-6 during 7-on-7 drill. Went every-other-rep with Flynn thru the drills we were allowed to watch. #Packers
Paul Imig @Paulimig 12m
#Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers WILL start Sunday vs. Bears, according to a source.Last edited by denverYooper; 12-26-2013, 12:15 PM.When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro ~Hunter S.
