  • This gets to someone's idea from a few pages ago:

Meijer has purchased 1,200 tickets for Saturday’s Chiefs-Colts game to donate to local military families. Game now a sell out, no black out.

    • To the refund policy or not.

In the past, pre-2012, to be entered into the playoff lottery you had to fill out the form and send in a check. If the Packers made the playoff s and you were picked they would cash your check. If you didn't get picked the Packers would either rip up the check or let you apply the check to your next year's tickets.

Last year in 2012 they let you put a credit card number down and only if you got your number picked in the lottery was the credit card charged and only for the tickets used even though you get tickets for both possible home games.

This year you could use a credit card but they charged you no matter what and if you didn't get tickets or the Packers didn't make the playoffs the Packers held the money and applied to next year's tickets. 80,000 tickets at $100 per seat for two games = $16,000,000. Nice for the Packers.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

      • The weather conditions they are calling for are just flat out crazy. If it hit -40...wow. The NFL didn't do the players or the fans any favours by having this game played at 4pm instead of 1.

        • I thought about going. Briefly. If I was in driving range, I would have been there, but the plane ticket from the West Coast would have cleaned out my coffers. Too bad.

          • Evidently the number of tickets not sold is down to about 1000 (1 hour ago at about 9 AM CST.)

That's a hell of a game to go to as a Packer fan. It was pretty much over before it started. Seachickens didn't even put up a fight. And yes, it was cold as ever. Hope you get to enjoy the game this weekend wherever you are!

was funny hearing "Green Bay sucks!" being chanted.

I'll hopefully get to see the 2nd half.

Seattle apparently is still doing the pay as they play ticket charge route. That seems far more sensible.

Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

I'm in a similar boat. I even pitched a few different scenarios at my wife but it had little success.

                          • It's a sellout.

Associated Bank bought an undisclosed number of tickets.

All tickets have been sold for Sunday’s NFC Wild Card Playoff game between the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers, the Packers announced Friday morning.

In addition to fan sales, a group of Packers corporate partners, led by Green Bay-based Associated Bank, purchased the remaining available tickets Friday to ensure a sellout and TV broadcast of the game throughout Wisconsin. Other corporate partners with a strong Wisconsin presence that purchased tickets are FOX TV affiliates WITI (Milwaukee), WLUK (Green Bay) and WFXS (Wausau); Mills Fleet Farm and Bellin Health.

“We’re very thankful to Packers fans, and our partners led by Associated Bank, for ensuring Sunday’s game will be sold out,” said Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy. “A unique season and other factors contributed to having tickets available, but with the support of our fans and partners, we’re looking forward to a great atmosphere Sunday at Lambeau Field for the playoff game against the 49ers. We also know fans around the state will be able to enjoy the telecast.”

“As a longtime partner with the Packers’ organization, we are honored to help ensure that fans can enjoy the full Packers playoff experience this Sunday, both at Lambeau Field in in their homes,” said Associated Banc-Corp President & CEO Philip B. Flynn.
