  • De'Vondre Campbell's time in San Francisco is done, no doubt. You refused to go into a game AFTER you agreed to "dress", breach of contract, you are not getting paid, pack your bags, your teammates no longer want you around, get out.
At the end of De'Vondre Campbell's tenure in Green Bay, we saw a foreshadowing of this. He thinks very highly of himself. While you need to be confident in a very "machismo" sport, there's a line you do not cross. Towards the end of his time here, his play had declined and his attitude had slowly worsened. It's a results oriented business, period. BUT, when it comes with an incredibly selfish and petulant attitude, you quickly become a pariah. Now, you quit with the playoffs on the line!?!
Results will equal tolerance. Some desperate team MAY take you, but the majority will pass you by without an thought or consideration.
For the fans, and I speak only for myself, we hope we don't have to see you again.
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

I appreciate Campbell’s role in knocking the rival Niners out of playoff contention. Well done! Now go away.

      • Sounds like SF is going to suspend Campbell, not cut him. They want to try and claw some of his guarantees back, plus they don't want him able to play for another team this year. The old "if you won't play for us, you won't play for anyone" game. Can't say I blame them for it.

I find it hard to believe he will get another shot with a team, he bad mouthed previous teams and he's on the decline. Why would you bring a headache like that into your building, you don't know if you can count on him, and even if he does play it's replacement level.

He made his own mess. Unfortunate to see. Maybe it's CTE

          • Miami Dolphins receiver Grant DuBose will remain at a Houston-area hospital overnight for further evaluation after he was was taken off the field on a stretcher after a helmet-to-helmet hit against the Houston Texans on Sunday.

DuBose tried to make a catch in the third quarter, but was hit in the head by rookie Calen Bullock before his head violently hit the turf. He appeared to clench both fists after the hit -- movements consistent with what's referred to as the "fencing response," which can be common after a traumatic brain injury -- before remaining motionless as medical personnel rushed to his side.

DuBose was ruled out with a head injury. He was transported to a Houston-area hospital for evaluation and was in stable condition, per the team. Head coach Mike McDaniel told reporters after the Dolphins' 20-12 loss that they had received positive feedback regarding DuBose's status.

DuBose remained on the field for more than 10 minutes as he was tended to by emergency medical personnel. His jersey was cut off him and a neck brace was put on him while players from both teams watched with concern.

At one point while he was down, the Dolphins moved away from him and into a circle where they kneeled and appeared to be praying. McDaniel and Houston head coach DeMeco Ryans embraced at one point while he was still on the field.

DuBose was eventually put on a spine board where his arms and legs were strapped down and he was taken off the field. A tube of some kind was in his mouth and no movement could be seen as he was taken off the field.
            Last paragraph is concerning.

              • The spine board and straps are scary but happen occasionally, with feared neck or spine injuries, to make sure it doesn't get worse before getting to the hospital. I've never heard of the tube being inserted like that before. You never want to see injuries like this.

                • Word is DuBose is stable and is moving, which is very good news. Tua threw him a hospital ball, and the rookie HOU safety obliged with a reckless helmet to helmet hit.

I forgot Lasershow Boyle was still in the league. He's had quite a journey: GB, DET, CHI, NYJ, MIA, and now NYG. Teams must be very desperate for football throwers.

Never quite lived up to the billing and draft status - I think he was something like the #5 overall pick. It's hard to picture these brash, big-talking defensive backs (Deion being example #1) becoming head coaches. But here we are.

But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.
