now that we got our big need out of the way, i would be fine with going wr in round 2 if a good one is there

Round 2... Please be Chris Borland. Him and Ha Ha would be a combo that should vastly improve the defense.

Position: CB
Positive: Three-year starter awarded All-America honors as a senior after posting career totals of 62 tackles, 4 INTs, and 10 PBUs. Instinctive cornerback who consistently shuts down opponents. Quick backpedaling, smooth flipping his hips, and does a great job immediately reacting to plays. Locates the pass in the air, has a decisive move to the throw, and shows good hands for interceptions. Mixes it up with opponents throughout the action, has a burst to the ball out of his plant, and plays heads-up football. Feisty, works to get off blocks, and makes his way up the field to defend the run or screen passes. Shows quickness and explosion.

Negative: Deep speed is a concern and struggles staying step for step downfield with opponents. Average skill in zone coverage.

Analysis: Dennard was a productive cornerback at Michigan State and showed a developing game the past three years. He comes with terrific ball skills, mental intangibles, and plays a tough brand of football. Dennard can be used in bump-and-run coverage or backed off the line of scrimmage, but struggles covering the deep pass and must be protected.
