I thought this was the most exciting news of the day. The Packers will hang-on to all three of these good prospects. (They can't practice or attend meetings this year, and collect full salary, but still a great deal for Packers.)Originally posted by woodbuck27Placed on injured reserve Saturday were running back Arliss Beach, tackle Josh Bourke and cornerback Mike Hawkins. (ALL decent prospects yet)
I do wonder if the NFL might questions this sudden rash of crippling injuries that struck three players unlikely to clear waivers.

Davenport came to the Packers as a bargain draft pick because of a serious foot injury. His lower legs have been injured most of the time that he was with G.B.Originally posted by BananaManDolphins will pick up Davenport unless someone else nabs him before them. Count on it.
You never know what will happen, but I don't see Davenport being much for Miami long term.

New Orleans traded Donte' Stallworth. Their starting receiver opposite Joe Horn is rookie Marques Colston. I'm sorry, but Joe Horn, Marques Colston, Devery Henderson, Jamal Jones (former Packer scrub), and Bethel Johnson is not a team loaded at WR.Tenn cut Calico and gave Johnathan Orr a roster spot, he must be doing well. To think we could've had him instead of Rogers.Originally posted by HarveyWallbangersYour infatuation with Hass is making me ill.Originally posted by oregonpackfanThat organization is loaded with skilled WR's.

I don't think so. It takes the players and his agent to agree to do this, so I don't think the league office or NFLPA really care that much. I wish Ben Brown could have made IL and gotten a paycheck this year.Originally posted by MuttnJeffI do wonder if the NFL might questions this sudden rash of crippling injuries that struck three players unlikely to clear waivers."There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson

What is it with this franchise and their disdain for former Badgers over the last decade and a half? Granted, we've got Tauscher plus there's some that players that won't pan out. But to pass on Wisconsin players over the years like Troy Vincent (vs. T-Buck), Chris Chambers (vs. Fergy), and Jonathan Orr (vs. Cory Rodgers) is tough to take.Originally posted by packrulzTenn cut Calico and gave Johnathan Orr a roster spot, he must be doing well. Hi there, GregJennings.
I think we're on the right path; I like the direction TT is taking the team.
It's just gonna take time.
So many posters have no patience - they seem to think that the mess the Packers got themselves into can be turned around overnight.
Things will work out fine - the arrow is pointed up.Who Knows? The Shadow knows!

Ahhh someone else who can see the bigger picture. So many are focused on one event of the past that they don't see the possibility of the future."Greatness is not an act... but a habit.Greatness is not an act... but a habit." -Greg Jennings
