Bretsky is probably hammering on the doors of 1265 Lombardi Avenue as we speak, screaming for TT to retire so Elliot can step in.

But maybe Russ Ball would be better anyway. Give TT two more years, then have Ball step in.

      One point, one question:

      1. They can only hire one. Leaves Packers with three choices minimum.

      2. Why on earth would you want to work for that team under Jed York, child terror?

There are reports (starting before the contract foofaraw with Harbaugh) that the York's are penurious. Jed's biggest contribution to date has been the new stadium that was 1/3 full for the bulk of this season. I doubt they are in the kind of straights that the Raiders or Chargers find themselves in with their older stadiums, but do you want to be GM and have to solve four problems at once (meddlesome owner who picks fights with coaches, live gate revenue, personnel and coaching)?
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Tell Wolf the job is his in 2 years if he sticks around. He's only 34 years old. He can afford to wait.

The NFL needs to collude and make teams hire Hoody Genius JR as well as Hoody's Defensive Coordinator.

I"m a long lose slight Ram fan from the days of Vince Ferregamo cause I hated Dallas that much.

DEAR RAMS....HIRE HOODY GENIUS JR !!!

Pete Dougherty worries about how much to panic about the Packers letting two guys interview for jobs. His logic is slightly off as he focuses on just Wolf and not why Gutenkist is also being allowed to interview.

But best bit is finally an answer to Ted's health issue from a while back: it was hip replacement

Thompson is 63 and has been slowed physically since a difficult recovery from hip-replacement surgery three years ago. But multiple sources said that however things might look from a distance, he’s sharp and shows plenty of energy in every-day interactions. There are no indications he’s ready to move to another role or retire, though there’s no knowing whether new circumstances or a Super Bowl win might affect his thinking.

                    He genuinely does.

Hip replacement at 63, holy sheep ships. I wonder if his condition was football related or if his body just got an early start on decomposition.

                          Interesante: John Dorsey

Dorsey, a former Packers player who cut his teeth in Green Bay under Hall of Fame architect Ron Wolf, has not yet signed a contract extension, sources said. He's in the final year of his deal, potentially opening the door to him leaving what he helped build in Kansas City to work at Lambeau Field.
OK, now I could see someone in the Executive Committee commit a full fledged panic and try to push Ted out to get this guy. Makes far more sense than the Young Pup Wolf.

I still don't think its a good move, but at least I can see this logic. I do love that two years remaining on a contract leaves Ted's future an open question.

Chiefs GM John Dorsey, a ex-Packers player who cut his teeth in Green Bay under Hall of Fame architect Ron Wolf, could potentially replace current GM Ted Thompson, Ian Rapoport reports.

You beat me to it I see PB! The way that's framed suggests to me that Rappaport's doing Dorsey's agent a favor to gain leverage with KC.

                                Yep.

A little shout of "Hey! These negotiations sure are taking a long time Mr. Hunt!"
