Most likely, but not certain. It's the same deal only better: if Rodgers is healthy, you never see Hundley until mop up time. If Rodgers gets hurt for a short stretch, it's more survivable, because Stubby bette knows what to call with Hundley."Never, never ever support a punk like mraynrand. GREAT THOUGHT; as would Bradford.Originally posted by bobblehead View PostTeddy Bridgewater might make a nice backup....
I'd take any 3 of the Vikings QB's as our backupsTERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

Does he though? That's not what I observed Saturday...Originally posted by mraynrand View PostMost likely, but not certain. When was the last time you saw a backup QB taking snaps in mop up time?Originally posted by mraynrand View PostMost likely, but not certain. I think he does. Second half Cleveland. Chicago. Pittsburgh.Originally posted by Guiness View PostDoes he though? That's not what I observed Saturday...
Remember in the Vikings game, the Packers are already out of it and he's throwing to a guy who never saw the field before that night. There were drops everywhere and they weren't exactly playing against a chopped liver defense were they? Even Rodgers struggles against that defense. His desperation deep shots were awful, and the INT was horrific.
It's entirely possible that TT and Stubby will go in another direction in the off season."Never, never ever support a punk like mraynrand. Rather be as I am and feel real sympathy for his sickness." - Woodbuck

I don't think any of them would be satisfied being backups and they may be too expensive/too sought after to keep there long term.Originally posted by Bretsky View PostGREAT THOUGHT; as would Bradford.

Bradford is a damn good QB, but he has a bad record for staying healthy, and thus, wouldn't be a reliable backup. The other two, Keenum and Bridgewater (and I can feel the shitstorm in here coming now hahahaha), I wouldn't take either of them over Brett Hundley.
With the Packers O Line, no immobile QB will do well, and with our WRs and pathetic TEs, any QBs better be Aaron Rodgers-level accurate (and there ain't many like that), because we can count on nobody to get separation from coverage. What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

Maybe we can get Cook back from the Raiders. They don't seem to be using him much anymore.Originally posted by texaspackerbacker View PostBradford is a damn good QB, but he has a bad record for staying healthy, and thus, wouldn't be a reliable backup. Bradford will keep getting chances for his amazingly-talented-but-fragile body to start. I would <3 Bridgewater to do a tour of duty here.
My personal opinion is no need to keep one back-up for many years. Just find the best non-starter available every year that doesn't cost a draft pick and bring them in. That way you always have a capable body on the cheap. If your back-up QB is in for more than 4 games, your season is very likely over anyway.
