What kind of 'ilk' am I exactly, you burger-flipping flippant fledgling? If they're not gonna win a super bowl, then I hope they lose out and end up with a top pick and more motivation to kick the guys they'll inevitably kick to the curb maybe a year early. They need to rebuild. It would be great to have a shot at Rashan Gary or Ed Oliver if they're not bad enough to get Bosa. Somebody freaky deaky that's a match-up problem. Those dudes could go #1, #2, and #3.
If you desperately need pass rushing help and front seven help, it's hard to argue with this draft. So much DL talent at the top!

Always playoffs.Swede: My expertise in this area is extensive. The essential difference between a "battleship" and an "aircraft carrier" is that an aircraft carrier requires five direct hits to sink, but it takes only four direct hits to sink a battleship.

Lets just put it this way: You belong in the same wingnutty dimension that the likes of Tex, O'Day and Rut reside in - Y'all may have your slight differences, but in macro space-time, y'all look, reek and shit just the same.Originally posted by mraynrand View PostWhat kind of 'ilk' am I exactly, you burger-flipping flippant fledgling? When you're right, you're right.Originally posted by mraynrand View PostI always want to win. I don't care too much whether they keep 'ol Stubbers or not, I just want them to beat the crap out of Bears, Vikings and everyone else they can and make the playoffs. Anything can happen. Was gonna defend Millen, but checked out his wiki page and thought otherwise. Apparently, Millen called Johnnie Morton a "faggot" and Ron Jaworski a "Polack." No fucking way am I gonna defend anyone who says shit like that.Originally posted by Joemailman View PostIf Matt Millen can do it, MM can do it.
Carry on with chats about the Packers tanking.

Word.Originally posted by Pugger View PostWe need impact players on both sides of the ball. If we make the playoffs and draft again later in every round will we really get better? Right now I don't care if we win or not because even if we do and make the playoffs we will be one and done AGAIN and I've had my fill of that crap. The hot teams like NO, the Rams, KC and even the freakin Bears and queens have improved their rosters by drafting higher than us. After all these years of drafting late and poorly has drained this roster and we now see the mediocrity on this team today.
I hope we get the #1 overall pick and then trade down to the 3rd spot for 2 1sts and 2 2nds.

Whatever it takes for the Packer brass to realize that the MM's time has run its course. Obviously, if they went on a "run the table" close out, followed by another Lombardi Trophy, then it would be hard to get rid of MM. I don't believe that will happen, so I think just getting to the playoffs isn't enough for MM to retain his job. Barring my dream scenario of a Super Bowl, I don't know that there is a magic number of wins to retention this year. I think perhaps the Packer Brass has seen enough over the course of time to be able to predict the future, which is not trending in the right direction.
You cast your lot with A-Rod when you extended him this year. He will lead the team, so it's imperative to take advantage of his remaining career. I personally think that involves a new voice, some new ideas; something not stale and predictable."Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts." -Daniel Patrick Moynihan

The eight ranked Packers are 4-5-1. Someone isn’t finishing their job.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Yeah... they are 1-3 against that group with another loss against 6-4 Washington and most games coming down to a play or 2.Originally posted by pbmax View PostAaron Schatz Football Outsiders

The only "bad" loss was to Detroit and even that was on the road with the Lions spotted a TD early.
The main thing this still says to me is that most teams are pretty meh this year including the Packers. Green Bay's played well enough to hang in but not well enough to stand out. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro ~Hunter S.

This was not the only game this week where the winning team had the lower DVOA rating. The first game of the week really stands out, as Green Bay lost to Seattle but earns 45.3% DVOA compared to -10.6% DVOA for the Seahawks. Green Bay outgained Seattle 7.5 yards per play to 5.5 yards per play; there were no interceptions and Seattle had both of the game's fumbles. Seattle did a much better job of grouping its successful plays into extended drives, as Green Bay had only one drive of seven plays while Seattle had five drives of at least seven plays. That big DVOA difference moves Green Bay up to No. 8 while Seattle drops from No. 8 to No. 12.When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro ~Hunter S.

Michael Cohen answered a question today from his listeners; how much is each factor responsible for the offensive downturn?Originally posted by denverYooper View PostYeah... they are 1-3 against that group with another loss against 6-4 Washington and most games coming down to a play or 2.

1. Young players (WR, RB) - 15%
2. Offensive scheme - 25-30%
3. Rodgers - 30-35%
4. Fundamentals (penalties, turnovers) - 10%
(he did not stop to be sure they added up)
He all but dismissed #4. But with all the struggles, if #4 was up to snuff, I bet they have a winning record. If they could fix 3rd down, I'd be downright giddy about their prospects.
But third down goes to Joe's question in another thread: will Rodgers expectation for his extended offense change, or is he going to keep beating that dead horse?Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Sometimes you have a take one for the greater good and the best interest of the team
This is our 2018 season. GB would be the #1 job
Now WHO THE HELL is the #1 coaching prospect ??TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER
