Good stuff.
And yeah, I have an established pattern of optimism with the Packers. I gotta have something to feel optimistic about, humanity being as lost as it is. I suppose my optimism is irrational at times considering I'm always learning that way with the PackerFormerly known as JustinHarrell.

Losing this one hurt. Maybe not as much as Collins, but this was self inflicted.

Casey has developed into a star. He detailed his approach to the game and what it’s like to cover some of the best receivers in the league on my podcast earlier this month: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas...=1000473514809

Casey Hayward Jr. - 93.1Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Yep. Ouch! Worst decision TT made in the sense that he had full information to make the right call and flat out failed. Hyde was horrible too. Those couple bad years we had were hugely related to letting two of our best players go.
However, that was money that made Z and P possible. If we get an Owl, I'm over it.Formerly known as JustinHarrell.

FINALLY! They might finally listen to us.
For late May, normally a slow time in the NFL, the league’s really busy. A couple of significant rules—adding a full-time Sky Judge to every officiating crew, and revolutionizing the onside kick—will come up for votes in a special videoconference session Thursday.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

When you want a contract to look artificially large, you back load it with the idea that there's a good chance the guy is gone before the end. When you have an all out star who you expect to keep for the life of the deal, you front load it. If you have some cap excess along the way, you guarantee even more on your star player, resulting in the picture we have. Thus, what makes it tradable - from the idiotic point of view that he should be traded - also makes it advantageous to keep him from the more sane point of view you just don't trade away the GOAT for anything short of a Herschel Walker-type deal, and most teams aren't as damn dumb as the Vikings were/are to offer you that much. What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

But if the Packers are similarly "right there in the cusp", then WHY would we be stupid enough to dump him - even for two firsts which probably wouldn't be very high considering the other team is "right there in the cusp"? 3 or 4 firsts and a couple of seconds, maybe, but like I said, nobody is Viking-level dumb enough to offer that much. What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

AR would have a likely great finish to his career in that scenario.
Gets traded to an ideal situation for two years.
Then free to sign in another ideal situation to finish his career
And if the Packers are right with the Love pick, they get ARs best years, then a couple high picks as he leaves town, setting them up for two Love SB rings in the near future!

I give Love almost zero chance at being better than Aaron in 2022. But the total impact of that decision goes beyond the 2022 season so that's where it starts looking like a possibility if they love, love then more than they love, love now, that is.Originally posted by texaspackerbacker View PostThat only makes sense if you assume Love will be as good as Rodgers right away at the time of the trade, possible but doubtful - and I'd still want at least 3 first round picks.Formerly known as JustinHarrell.
