The NFL has rendered its verdict on the Patriots’ filming of a Bengals-Browns game late last year. The results aren’t pretty for the Pats – they’ll be fined $1.1MM and stripped of a 2021 third-round pick, according to Mike Reiss and Adam Schefter of ESPN.com (on Twitter). Furthermore, Pats TV crews will be barred from filming games during the upcoming season.

Pathetic little slap on the wrist for an organization that has shown absolutely no compunction or hesitation about cheating. I've read other good people saying the same about basically boycotting the NFL - last season already because of Kaepernick and more so because of the more widespread crap this season. The way I look at it, though, it would be a damn shame to deprive myself of the pleasure of rooting for my team just because of a bunch of mostly irrelevant shit that doesn't affect me anyway. I guess Professor Rand is on another sabbatical or something, but I'm sure my good normal attitude of that type would be disapproved of by Rand and a couple others of his kind in here. Including you, wist?What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?Comment

As for the NFL, they've just pushed me too far. Same thing with the NBA. I'll still watch the Packers some, but won't watch other games. It's a shame what they've done... been a fan since the 60's.wistComment
