When a team is continually beat in the run game, they slow their pass rush and make mistakes in pass coverage because they bite on run action..... all sorts of things in the pass game open up from the run game. And vice versa. That’s what people mean when they say balance.
No one means this by balance. They want more rushing. Even on this site everyone was talking percentages and ratios.

They HOPE they get those results. They won’t, but that is the hope.

When i say balance, really, truly, what I mean is keeping the defense off balance by being unpredictable.

The one part of my joy of running the ball that would go against your rational approach is that I really do enjoy how it feels to physically whip the shit out of the opponent more than pass. So with that, I’m irrational and would lean a little too far toward run. But at the end of the day, I’d make sure to reel myself in and pass enough to make sure my mentality isn’t a team weakness.

Tex deserves a good burn now and again, but I like me some homerism too. Remember, when the Packers lose it is because of the gawddamn officials!!!

Maybe their big road game south? Packer fans I suspect all wanted to go to SoCal.

I like Williams a lot, both with and without the ball. He's not going to bust the long run Jones does, but is a solid, dependable runner.

Agreed this potentially a trap game. Chargers are better than their record, and won 12 games last year. K. Allen, Hunter Henry and Gordon give Rivers some good weapons. Allen will have to beat double coverage though, because Mike Williams doesn't scare anyone.
