He is, but I get the sense they don't trust him in the passing game yet. Tyler Ervin might end up getting snaps if Jamaal's shoulder keeps him out of the DET game.Originally posted by texaspackerbacker View PostAny word on Jamal Williams? We may need to bring the other Williams out of moth balls - he is still on the roster, isn't he?

Great win... don't think we have anything for SF or NO - SEA has hit some white water though.
Rodgers has really fallen off though - he just doesn't see open receivers like he used to. Locks on to Adams and he ain't comin off of that read for nothing. On that Int. he had Graham breaking wide open over the middle. There was another play that was a completion to Adams for about 15 yds, but further up the field Kumerow was wide open - might have been a TD.
He just doesn't see the field very well any more.wist

The glass ain't half full, it's 3/4 full and rising.
We started slow. Arod pressured the defense, had some bad breaks, and kept taking what they give him, and broke those purple bastards down.
He sees the field fine, He just doesn't see many guys breaking open. So he stays patient and goes to the guys he trusts. That works out to being Adams 90% of the time . Ain't shit wrong with that. He's not the QB he used to be, but he's still top 3 in the NFL. That's good.
BTW, we were in a 2-4 nickle and some 2-3 dime 50% of the game.
Was that a dumb scheme?

All true, KYP, but the way the Packers play 2-3 and 2-4, it's a lot like an old fashioned 4 man line. Most of the time it reminds me of the old Buddy Ryan 4-1-6.Originally posted by KYPack View PostNow Now Wisty.

It doesn't really matter with our current personnel and Pettine running the defense.Originally posted by KYPack View PostNow Now Wisty.

Regardless of how many front guys are up or down, Pettine has plenty of presnap movement and disguises in the works on passing downs; and on those downs the type of players roving presnap, regardless of who's up or down they're 3-3 personnel.
On run downs, you see Lowry, Lancaster, and Clark down, along with Z. Smith down a lot of the time. So Pettine is using a lot of different looks.
I might be home for a few days here - fell down some stairs and I'm not bouncing back very fast. Was planning a hip replacement in the spring, but might be moving that up now.
Anyway, I'll try to break down the games some if I'm bedridden for a while.wist

If Eli Manning, Joe Flacco, and Nick Foles are capable of going on a playoff run, I'm certainly not writing off Rodgers to do the same."There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson

But now we are doing it with 275 lb. OLB compared to 250 in the past. Big difference.Originally posted by KYPack View PostNow Now Wisty.

Whatshisname from Fresno State won it with the Buccaneers, or was it the Ravens?Originally posted by HarveyWallbangers View PostIf Eli Manning, Joe Flacco, and Nick Foles are capable of going on a playoff run, I'm certainly not writing off Rodgers to do the same.
Rodgers now is better than that dude in his prime.

Preston is on wiki as 265 and dr. Zaius as 275. If those are accurate, I’ll eat my Dunder Mifflin Christmas present beanie.Originally posted by bobblehead View PostBut now we are doing it with 275 lb. OLB compared to 250 in the past. Big difference.
My best is Peppers/Perry are about a wash with Preston and Dr. Zaius has 10 on Clay.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

I think the mix is close to where they were when they had both Peppers and Perry with Matthews roaming.Originally posted by wist43 View PostIt doesn't really matter with our current personnel and Pettine running the defense.

You see 3 lineman versus run heavy. 2-4 when it’s a favorable down for offense but the offense has an extra receiver. And 1-5 when it’s a pass down.
Fackrell, Dr Zaius and PSmith allow them to play games with who is ILB.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

WISTY; it's been a LONG TIME. Now that you are with us for a few days it's time for you to Acknowledge a few things. I'll start with the bads first. So tell me if it's true
1. Watching Rashan Gary play has turned Wist into a Kyle Fackrell fan. While Gary has flashed talent a handful of times in his 15 game season, as many joked about he makes others better, he just may have made Kyle Fackrell a better player..........well....for now....at least clearly better than Gary
2. Aaron Jones is our best player on offense. I listen to a lot of radio on the Packer beat guys......several opposing teams...including San Fran...note they go into each week trying to find ways to minimize Aaraon Jones. Nobody talks about stopping AROD anymore. He's dropped off some, but he's still pretty good.
3. At worst, we have 1-2 capable WR's on the roster. At best we have 3. Guter HAS to get two more receiving weapons on offense for next year.....very likely one top WR and a TE
4. Burks is the pile of crap you said he was from day one. I'm not sure who can cover an ILB on our team.
5. It's time for you to acknowledge that Black Martinez is a serviceable ILB. Dude make a lot and lot of tackles. GB needs to resign the guy. If you can put a talented ILB next to him who can cover somebody it will only make Martinez better.
WELCOME BACK WIST !!TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER
