There is very little chance this kid gets off without time. There is little wiggle room with drunk driving these days, and the circumstances will make it very hard to put up a defense in court. He's very likely looking at 10 years behind bars at minimum.
It's such a GOOD feeling...13 TIME WORLD CHAMPIONS!!

Welp, his lawyer is saying he doesn't believe Ruggs was impaired.

      @RaiderWeezy
Ruggs lawyer said they need the blood results because he said he doesn't believe he was drunk, states he "seemed dazed and impaired" only because he was just in a car accident. #RaiderNation
Pack it up boys, we're done here!

smh. This happened at 3:30am, chances of him being sober are slim to none, and slim just left town

Does it matter? He may be under the legal limit, but having any alcohol in your system is still a sign of recklessness, and since he was speeding, a second display of recklessness, and that recklessness resulted in a death, he can still be charged and convicted of criminal negligence, and quite possibly, manslaughter, DUI or no.

He was FLYING. The crash scene indicates he may have been going over 100mph. Thats not "carefully driving" home.

But I stand corrected on one count. The Raiders cut him already. Bold move by Davis. I give him credit. Tyreek Hill keeps smackin bitches around and the Chiefs keep throwing him the rock.

It is absolutely insane they still employ that dude and sort of a stain on the whole "Andy Reid is a great dude" narrative. Rashan Gary showing us as the resident idiot once again my godd.

I think it's possible to feel sorry for someone who who made a disastrous, tragic decision while at the same time holding them responsible for their actions. Those two things are not mutually exclusive.

news just came out that he was more than 2x legal BAC (is it 0.08 in Nevada?), doing 157mph (wasn't this a fucking city street???) and had a loaded handgun in the car.

                    about that lawyer's statement...

Yea...157 on a surface street. Now I no longer think he won't do time. Time to get some prison ink Henry....and make sure you punch the biggest mutha fucker in the room on day 1.

Edit: I live right up the road from this. Maybe 4 miles. That is NOT an area where I would even do 80.

I guess I just don't get the thought process. I can empathize with being like .10 or whatever and driving basically the speed limit and having an accident, maybe even like .12 (drunk and a half). I think if most people are being honest they've probably done this - I know I have in my younger years before Uber, etc existed. I _would not_ do it today because of Uber, etc.

But to be 2x the limit and obviously drunk paired with going fast as fuck - like what exactly is the thought process there?

                              Maybe he was drinking tequila?

"That won't happen to me." It is what everyone says before it happens to them. People seemingly fail to understand the consequences of ones actions. A simply phone call, a tap on your uber app or hire a driver before you go out drinking and someone would still be alive.

Have no sympathies for Ruggs. I do feel horrible for the person that lost their life and all the people in the persons life that are now dealing with the loss.
