If I was the Packers GM, I'd look into the possibility of picking up this 2nd year first round Corner for little or nothing. Sure, he misbehaved - in word, not deed, but if he isn't found to be a gang member or something like that, he deserves a second chance, and better with us than with somebody else - both for us and for him.

Joe, probably some people elsewhere are saying the same about Packer fans as you said about Raider fans.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

No team will touch this guy right now, nor should they. He's had many incidents since being drafted, including crashing 4 rental cars in the span of a month. He's a danger to himself and others.

Tex, this dude would fit right in down in Texas.

Aw, don't you guys believe in second chances? hahahaha. No, RG, I didn't know - that's why I just said check him out, not leap to signing him - although I still might even do that, as he is apparently all talk and no action on the killing/hurting front, and who cares about the crashing rental cars thing?

The Raiders for generations - ever since they existed - had a bunch of questionable people, Alzado and a lot of others, who brought them success on the field. The Packers have had a few too - Rison and Glenn and Johnny Jolly and probably others. Often, when a trouble maker comes to nice heartland Green Bay, they forsake their rotten ways and shape up. If he doesn't, what do you risk by signing him and cutting him later - it's not like some 22 yr. old fool is gonna infect others on the team with his ways. It's a lot more likely that the solid citizens on the team will turn him into a good guy. And you can never have too many good Corners.

A telling clue is what Mayock said. He stated that the Raiders spent a lot of time and effort to get him to make better decisions. Tells me there were other events or red flags that the Raiders recognized as significant character issues.

He may still perform a self cranial-rectal extraction and get on track.

Just seems amazing to me that someone cannot recognize the opportunity before them.. An opportunity for wealth and fame that millions would kill for, and piss it away to behave like a street thug with no future.

Raiders apparently knew there were issues when they drafted him.

Mayock acknowledged there was "significant concern" over Arnette's character coming out of college, but the Raiders felt they could help him on and off the field and knew the Ohio State coaching staff well enough to trust its advice and take on Arnette.

"At the time, we thought it was an acceptable risk ... after doing more homework on Arnette than anybody we've done in the years I've been here. And obviously, we missed, and that is 100% on me."
Guys like Arnette, if they're really talented usually get drafted. But not in the 1st round.

Who would you rather take a chance on? Arnette or Beckham if neither is not an option? I'd gamble on Arnette.

The more I read on this case the more pissed I get. Ruggs girlfriend is yelling to bystanders for help because poor henry is hurting. No regard for the girl burning to death. His lawyers are trying to blame the fire department for being slow to respond (which I am in favor of said blame...however it shouldn't come from the Ruggs camp AT ALL). Of course meanwhile Rodgers might actually be getting more hate from talking heads than Ruggs is.

I think Ruggs is hardly news; he got hammered and for the most part everybody wrote him off and he's going to jail.

                            Rodgers is still playing
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

Rodgers played word games thinking he was the smartest MFer in the room. All he had to say was "Nunya' bidness" or what the fuck ever.

But he didn't kill some poor innocent woman and her doggo'.

So your point on what is getting covered is well taken.

He could have told a knock knock joke: Who's there. Nunya.....
