How Will J-Love's Career Play Out?

I think one area the Packers have fallen down on is the Offensive Line. They managed the transition to LaFleur well, better than I expected. But the next generation line hasn't done the team any favors in the pass game and the run game suffered in 2025 too.

I guess in my estimation he's a top 10-12 right now. I want to see him make some primetime plays in primetime games. I want to see him make some people better. What we have so far is decent. He might be great; but he needs to be more conistently accurate, and lift the team when they are stuggling

Justin Herbert is demonstrably terrible. This would be an insult to Matt Flynn. And I say this as a former fan of Herbert but after two years of the same results then some Harbaugh, I am of the opinion its not getting better.

We will see about Drake May in year 2 with film on him and see how he deals with the diva extraordinaire AJ Brown.

Lamar was definitely better at his peak but I'm not sure he's near his own peak now.

Burrow just got hurt reaching into his fridge for a can of michelada. He's also a 500 quarterback with J'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. Love is 9 games over 500 with the cast of Love Island as his receivers (they look good, not always available).

Stafford is old but could still be better. Dak is older than Love but is likely in the same class as Love.

Jayden Daniels has to stay healthy, so maybe.

Hurts will be interesting to watch in a Shanny/McVay/LaFluer offense. But I am not sure he is a better QB at all.

Allen is amazing and unreliable. Like Prescott, a decent comp for results similar to Love. Each of these three play differently, but very similar results.

I don't think he's a natural runner, and I don't want to see him get hurt trying. But I'm intrigued at some of his "Did he mean to do that?" oddball timing throws this past season. There were just enough to make me think "Yeah, he meant to do that."

I think Love is the franchise QB for GB. I think Gute has given him weapons, and even a few players on D to help get him the ball back.
What I'm still concerned about is the OL. Love was really, really good when he had time to throw.

Kraft, Reed, Watson and Golden played almost zero snaps together last season. That might matter too, but how Love handles blitz pressure will be important. I'm sure everyone saw how Dennis Allen basically blitzed the hell out of Love (and Stafford) in the playoffs.

Love still does things that trouble me (throwing off the back foot, underthrowing deep shots, etc.) but I think he's one of the least worrisome things on the offense. He's a top quartile (i.e., top 8) QB IMO.

Of passes intercepted, 7th in success pct. , 8th in yards per pass attempt, 10th in yards per completion, 6th in passer rating, 3rd in QBR, 7th in sack pct. Only major rate/pct where he was mediocre was completion pct., where he was 15th. Favre and Rodgers hit MVP level in 4th season as starter. It is time, if MLF unleashes him.

Keep in mind that Love had those numbers with His most talented receivers (Watson, Reed, Kraft) missing close to, or more than half the season.

Love was extremely inspiring in the Wild Card loss. Fuck the punk kicker and the milksop D.
