  • Give me your 53

Seriously? I can't believe nobody has started a 53-man roster thread. I'm on my phone again so I'm not going to try right now but give me your worst.

Joe, just to give an idea just how filled out I think this roster has been from the start I don't really disagree with anything except Newman is gone for Glover, Ford very well could beat out Wooden. I'm almost certain Welch is playing his way onto the roster somehow. Maybe Anderson falls victim.

I also think Clifford has played himself out of a job, but I'm not sure Pratt will be the backup. Tannehill was MiLF's QB in Tennessee so would it be a stretch to see him come in? He makes more sense than any vet, but he might be asking for too much money. Pratt makes PS sense a lot more than back up sense.

Tannehill didn't join Tennessee until 2019. Marcus Mariota was the QB when MLF was there.

So either there IS no kicker on the 53 but Zayne Anderson makes the team and is listed as “ST” only, or there’s a kicker out there somewhere named “Anderson” that Joe is thinking will be the kicker, or autocorrect sucks. Which it does.

I stand corrected. However the larger point remains that it was the same offense for the most part and Tannehill knows the playbook well enough to catch up fast and be a good backup. But the other point of what he wants to be paid also remains.

Yea, pretty sure he meant "Anders" as in Carlson and it ended up Anderson.

Tannehill also wants a big bag of money and a chance to compete to start; for those reasons he's not a fit for GB. Love just got paid and he is the starter, full stop.
If they look elsewhere for a backup QB, it'll be dumpster diving after cut-downs. Someone like Heinecke or Zappe maybe.

Too lazy to do a full lineup.
                      I think Newman is gone.
I think they only keep 3 RBs but Lloyd or Dillion goes on IR to return.
                      Carlson makes the team.
                      Pratt gets QB2.

This seems somehow more clear cut than sometimes in the past, maybe because of the practice squad changes. I have very few differences from Joe's or for that matter, the other one posted. Unless the injury is worse than I have heard, I'd keep Howard over Merriweather. I thought Telfort looked pretty bad and Caleb Jones looked better as a PS OT. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they cut Newman. And I thnk Joseph stays on the PS ahead of Hale.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

Except they just gave Hale the foreign player designation, so there is an extra PS squad position that can be used on him but not Joseph. Hale will stay put for now.

Good move. Where is Hale from?
