Kind of assumed all in hear heard about the grading....I know not completely accurate...but it at least gives an indication of the type of player we're getting. He's OK....but GB grossly overpaid for the production he's shown so far. But he passed about Gouchebeag's only criteria..he's below 30

Of 66 guards who played at least 500 snaps in 2024, Banks was No. 32 in Pro Football Focus’ grades. That was the best mark of his career, especially as a run blocker.

People in the NFL put little stock in PFF’s grades. The data, on the other hand, is invaluable. Banks ranked 36th in pass-block efficiency, which measures sacks, hits and hurries per pass-protecting snap. That was just ahead of right guard Sean Rhyan (39th) and former Packers guard Jon Runyan (40th).

Banks’ $19.25 million average ranks seventh among guards. It’s more than the Packers’ two-time Pro Bowl guard, Elgton Jenkins, who is averaging $17.0 million.

Gute doesn't make big free agent signings real often, but when he does his track record is pretty good. Billy Turner, Z Smith, Preston Smith, Adrian Amos, Josh Jacobs, Xavier McKinney. I like Banks' and Hobbs' chances.

Well, he is also one of the biggest guards in the league and a road grader much like Rhyan is. I think when we face 2nd and 2 on a regular basis while he and Rhyan are pancaking DTs you might change you opinion on him.

Isn't Banks contract essentially one year if they want? We'll see if he can ball. If not he may be cut right away. I think he's gonna be a good player.

I thought the Green Bay run game was predicated on having mobile offensive linemen? Are they changing to a new philosophy or are these guys both pretty mobile, or do I just not know what the hell they're doing in the first place?

I’m sure you pride will fill the trophy case.

Man fuck this thread and Bretsky for causing all this back when Adams was drafted. That’s the start of the dessension if you really think about it.

But Bretsky gets huge kudos for flipping as I can admit it on the occasional time I am wrong. The Fresno Fraud turned into the Fresno Freak and perhaps all my negativity was the karms he needed to achiever greatness.

But as it stand now, F'CK that stubborn ass GOUCHEBAG for not picking up the dam phone to check on his availability after he clearly gave indications he'd listen.

Sometimes I wonder if the reason Gouchebag and Rodgers could never get along is because they are equally stubborn ass Btches.

Has Gouchebag every publicly admitted he made a mistaken (this was the topic of a Packer radio talk show recently so don't give me the credit for the brilliance of the thought)...ever ?

Or, perhaps most in here thinks he never made one.

Every season the Packers don’t win the Super Bowl is one he fucked up as far as I’m concerned. Everyone else would get shitcanned for blowing a big project like that.
