    The Packers placed wide receiver Christan Watson, linebacker Quay Walker, fifth-round pick Collin Oliver and seventh-round picks Micah Robinson and John Williams on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.

    The team also placed offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins, running back Amar Johnson and kicker Alex Hale on the non-football injury (NFI) list.

    The PUP list is for players injured and unable to participate after being injured in a football-related activity at a team facility. The NFI list is for players injured and unable to participate after being injured away from the facility.

    The team can activate players off either list at any time. Once a player is activated off the PUP list they can not be placed back on it.

      Gotta wonder if Elgton's "injury" is related to his contract.

        I also like to play this game (based not on reality but on my own perception) in which I try to predict which Packer rookies are going to be stashed on IR as developmental projects. Rooks whom the team likes, as far as potential, but whom the team sees as needing too much development to “waste” a roster spot on. They don’t want to try to sneak them through the season on the practice squad, so they stash them on the PUP list and then maybe IR.

        This year’s candidates are clear: Collin Oliver, John Williams, Micah Robinson.

        These players are also connected to the secret Andromeda Alien takeover. Coincidence? I think not.

          Bruised ego? Projected weakness in the bank account muscle? I would say it almost certainly is. I think they will work it out in a way that works for both parties, but if not I'm glad they invested in the OL this off season.

            I'm kind of hoping all 3 of them show enough to actually MAKE the roster instead of being hidden. We really need some promise from the CB group after the top 3.

              I don't know how far along any of these guys are developmentally, so I'm just playing guessing games. From what you've said, Williams might be ready sooner rather than later, so maybe his injury is legit. Collin Oliver seems a gadget guy from the get-go, so maybe they're going to shelve him so he can learn the trade before hitting the field.They've got enough DE's, numbers-wise, right now. Micah Robinson, I don't know.

              I wonder how close Jacob Monk is to being a quality starting center in the NFL. I know Mike Wahle was gushing over him last year in training camp. Cuz if he can be a notch better than, say, their former center from Ohio State, do they play hardball with Jenkins? Probably not, as they need him and the depth Monk brings, but if Monk is ready or close to it, it'd be hard to give Jenkins a longer term deal.

                Oliver, at 240 pounds, was drafted as a situational pass rusher. As a 5th round pick, he should make the team unless he shows nothing. Robinson might have a chance to grab the last CB spot. Same thing with Williams on the OL. Both would seem like good bets for the PS.

                  In my conspiracy theory of Packer Football, these guys are probably not quite ready to be valuable on the 53 man roster. Too raw. And - again, I'm just imagining - the Packer brass fears they'd be plucked off the PS by a team not contending but looking for young talent to develop. So they end up IR-ing these guys so they can't be poached but don't take up spots on the 53.

                  It's probably not close to true. I'm just wondering in my conspiracy-filled Packer fan head.

                    Zach Tom with 4 year, $88 million extension. Makes him highest paid RT on salary per year basis.

                      The Packers announced that Colorado receiver Will Sheppard has signed. They also announced that they had signed kicker Mark McNamee to replace recently released Alex Hale. The Irish-born McNamee joins through the team's International Player Pathway Program.

                        Gute says Elgton dealing with a back issue. Not a contract thing.

                        Quay Walker "a week or so away" from practicing. Had a cleanup procedure done related to injury from last year.

                          Nathaniel Hackett back with the Packers. He has a similar role as Robert Saleh last year, working with the defense and giving an offensive perspective.

                          Love’s first pass complete to Kraft on a bootleg

                          @AndyHermanNFL

                          Impressive run from MarShawn Lloyd to bounce outside for a big gain. His juice is just different and adds such a playmaking element.

                          @AndyHermanNFL

                          Spinner series play action with a deep ball to Jacobs!!! Love threw it perfectly, Hobbs ranged over at the last minute to make a play on Jacobs but would call that one a drop from 8.
                          Weston Hodkiewicz
                          @WesHod

                          Monk at center with second ones rotation with Rhyan at RG
                          Weston Hodkiewicz

                          Andy Herman
                          @AndyHermanNFL

                          Golden now working with the 1’s. Was with the 2’s in walkthroughs.

                          @mattschneidman

                          Xavier McKinney’s first INT of 2025 comes on a Love shot to the back-right corner of the end zone. Intended for Wicks, but McKinney came down with the jump ball and gets mobbed.
                          Weston Hodkiewicz

                          @WesHod

                              Translation. The back is impossible to diagnose thus the perfect injury to complain about to avoid the fines.
