    Thoughts: Williams now has the strangle hold on the 2nd safety spot. OL Williams is too young to miss time and win the RG spot, ruining my hot take. With Banks and Jenkins not practicing Morgan isn't going to get reps at LT to take that job anytime soon. Doubs is still Doubs if he can avoid the concussions that ruined a few promising careers. Still my Michael Thomas light. Wicks seems as open as ever and hasn't dropped much. Golden certainly sounds legit but I still don't like that frame over 17 games.

    I think Simmons ends up starting and they can make offers to him and Quay to see which one will sign the more reasonable deal. We'll see how that shakes out. Off ball LBs are hard to grade in camp so we'll have to wait for games to see how the position plays.

      I'll also add that I don't see how Stackhouse doesn't make the 53 just to fill the TJ Slaton run stuffer role.

        We have so much damn speed at LB after in the 2010s when we were slow AF there and got killed constantly by great schemers. You love to see it. Hopefully they can play as fast as they can run on a track.

          LBs instincts mean more than speed by a long shot. One false step because you misread the play and your 4.5 turns into a 6.9

            Yep. The difference is between Cooper and Quay is in the first fraction of a second after the snap. Or even before the snap.

              Gute said Lloyd's injury did not appear to be from Hobbs' hit. He did it making a cut.

                  Aaron Banks (back) went inside after warmups and hasn’t come back out. Might be a setback after he participated yesterday in 11-on-11 in what looked like a limited capacity.

                  Lukas Van Ness with another strong showing in 1 on 1s. Beat Jordan Morgan at LT twice — once with an inside move and once around the edge. LVN 3-0 so far in the drill.

                  @AndyHermanNFL

                  Josh Jacobs and Emanuel Wilson with back to back nice runs, Jacobs’ was exceptionally well blocked up front on the right side behind Rhyan and Tom

                  Tucker Kraft with phenomenal pass pro on Brenton Cox which allowed Love to find Golden along the sideline for a nice pickup.

                  A rare miss for Willis who had Heath open for a big gain.
                  Andy Herman
                  @AndyHermanNFL

                  Chris Brooks just put his life on the line on a blitz pickup on Cox. Man does Brenton play with some pop and violence. All things considered Brooks did really well.

                  Run by Brooks goes nowhere.

                  I know
                  @89JonesNTAF
                  had the original hoodie swag but I’ve never seen it for a QB. Malik Willis is pulling it off well today.

                  Mosby sack on Elgersma who held the ball way too long.
                  Andy Herman
                  @AndyHermanNFL

                  Evan Anderson great fill on a run play to stop Jacobs in his tracks.

                  Matthew Golden is getting better and more impactful by the day. Came open on a crosser and Love found him for a nice pickup along the sideline.

                  Edgerrin Cooper, shooting through OL’s and making tfls. It’s what he does.
                  Andy Herman
                  @AndyHermanNFL

                  Cooper shoots off the edge for a would be sack.

                  Enagbare with a great rush - might have been a sack but Willis fires and Omar Brown jumps it for his second pick of camp.
                  Andy Herman
                  @AndyHermanNFL

                  Nazir Stackhouse continues to show up with an immediate pressure inside. Hicks came up with a nice catch over the middle.

                  Another botched exchange this time with Clifford. Defense easily recovers.
                  Andy Herman
                  @AndyHermanNFL

                  Xavier McKinney beautifully jumps a ball from Love, tips it off and makes the juggling pick. It’s just impossible to throw in his area. He’s on a different level.

                  False start by Rasheed.

                  Meanwhile Kalen King with a pick six down on the other side. Couldn’t see who was at QB
                  Andy Herman
                  @AndyHermanNFL

                  Love has to throw quick over the middle but Musgrave isn’t looking and it falls incomplete.

                  Ty’Ron hopper just missed a pbu w the 2s

                  Willis throws deep to Shepherd - should have been PI by herring but don’t see a flag.

                  Love steps up and delivers deep to Hardman on a deep crosser but he can’t come up with it.

                  Nice sliding catch by Doubs from Love.
                  Andy Herman
                  @AndyHermanNFL

                  Jordan Love with a scramble!!!!! Kenny Clark had the immediate pressure.

                  Rashan Gary immediately shuts down an inside run to Jacobs. Clark in there too.

                  @mattschneidman

                  Jordan Love hits Matthew Golden for a 55-ish-yard TD. Rookie was open past Nate Hobbs and Evan Williams deep. Love had plenty of time and put a bomb right on him. Teammates loving it. Romeo Doubs is dancing as Golden arrives at the sideline.
                  Quote
                  Aaron Nagler
                  @AaronNagler

                  Lukas Van Ness is…quietly having a good start to camp.
                  Matt Schneidman
                  @mattschneidman

                  Ty’Ron Hopper flying around during the first 11-on-11 live tackling period of camp. Would’ve blown up a screen, but Willis pass was inaccurate and fell incomplete. Hopper then helped stuff a run up the middle.
                  Andy Herman
                  @AndyHermanNFL

                  Looked like good coverage by Hobbs on Golden but the flag on the ground next to him says otherwise. Golden draws the PI.

                  Doubs gets the best of Hobbs off the LOS and love finds him for a big play over the middle.

                  Sick one handed catch by Reed in the flat but it goes nowhere.
                  Andy Herman
                  @AndyHermanNFL

                  Love and Doubs are cooking on this drive. Beautiful slant route.

                  Little chippiness in the trenches. Looked like Cox and Rasheed. LaFleur takes the starting offense off the field and makes the non-receivers all run a lap. Who is there to pick up Rasheed - Josh Jacobs.
                  Andy Herman
                  @AndyHermanNFL

                  Ty’Ron Hopper with a tfl in live team drills (tackling).

                  Rasheed Walker continues to take a walk along the sideline. Either he’s being disciplined or taking a long time to cool down. I think it’s the former.

                  @WesHod

                  Stackhouse with another sack in team tackle period
                  Andy Herman
                  @AndyHermanNFL

                  Big short yardage situation stop by the defense on 4th down to end the day. That does it for practice. Off day tomorrow.

                          He played 50% of snaps last year. He'll play as much or more this year.

                          • Valentine (or at least what you say about Valentine, bobblehead) reminds me of that Corner that we had a few years ago that I thought was good but a lot of people just hated - La something or other was his name. He failed against a couple of superstars, but he did good in man coverage against a lot of average decent receivers. Valentine seems to be like that - good but I'm not sure about his speed. I'd take that over Keisan - fast but gets beat by moves.

                              Honestly, he's got to be the pick for the nickname "Marshmallow." So far, you can't count on him to be available. Period.

                              Okay, here's ACME's most recent "predict the 53."

                              I think that there is one glaring, glaring mistake in this guy's predictions: he has Colby Wooden making the team as a DT and Warren Brinson getting cut. There's no way. Wooden is way undersized and brings no special qualities. Karl Brooks has a little bit of quickness and wiggle, but Colby truly is wooden. Brinson will beat him out. To me, it's not even a question.

                              I am sad to see that there might not be room for Malik Heath on this team. He does the dirty work blocking, and he seems to be having a good camp. The ACME writer has Hardman as the last receiver IF he wins the punt return job.

                              The writer also points out, correctly I think, that the last corner spot is absolutely up for grabs between Kalen King, Hadden, and Junior. Since Junior has more special teams experience, he gets the nod from the ACME writer. I would imagine that both Hadden and King are working their asses off to show that they can be trusted on special teams.

                                I think they might be right about Wooden and Brinson. Wooden has reportedly bulked up and is having a good camp. Also, Brinson so far is being outplayed by his college teammate Nazir Stackhouse, who went undrafted. Both are NT's but probably only one can make it as Kenny Clark's backup. I don't really see Wooden as competing with those guys. They're different types of players.
