....and Gute has traded away draft value that would be needed to get Love's replacement. The Packers could become like so many other teams, searching years for the next "guy".
If this trade doesn't work out like they hope, it could hurt their outlook for years.
Seriously? First of all, barring injury, it is extremely unlikely they will be looking for Love's replacement for a long long time. And if there was something catastrophic sooner, Willis looks like a very adequate replacement.
Too much negativity in here by know nothings.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

Or, and I'm just spit balling here, is Love's replacement already on the roster (and I'm not talking Bo Melton).

I'll throw out one last nugget this morning. We are in line for about 4-7 comp picks in the next 2 years. More than ever I think right now is the time to trade Raseed Walker. a 2nd (maybe even a 1st) sounds a lot better than back of the round 3rd (or possibly 4th).

I haven't had a very high opinion of Rasheed Walker, and it may or may not make much difference, but Rasheed's Penn State team mate spoke highly of him yesterday in the press conference. I kinda doubt he goes anyplace.

I was thinking the same thing. Possible trades near the deadline (depending on the season so far) to get better picks and in the 2026 draft than they might get as comp picks in 2027 if they lose them next offseason. Walker, maybe even Doubs or Watson, Enagbare or Rhyan could be expendable and bring a pick in 2026 rather than waiting.
Several forecasters are predicting no comp picks for GB in 2026.
When the Packers play their base 4-3 defense, not only can you keep Parsons as a major threat off the edge, you can also kick him back to his native off-ball linebacker spot, joining forces with Quay Walker and Edgerrin Cooper to create the fastest, scariest base LB trio in football, all while retaining your original two edge rushers in Gary and Van Ness
And this:
Why I can't help but feel like the outlook is very positive.

Parsons is now the first Packer to wear the number 1 since Curly Lambeau. It was never officially retired and Lambeau is honored in other ways. Still, that is a special number Parsons has to live up to.
Edge is the premium position on defense. IF he maintains his production, this is an absolute steal for the Packers. Of course it's a risk. Sticking with their existing lineup is also a risk.
I still think this was a great trade, and I can't believe we didn't have to give up Van Ness or Gary.
We got a field tilter.
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER
Truth is, I suspect most see right through your bluster. You're not always wrong and you plenty of have valid points, but you're still a self absorbed tool.

Patler gives more information and thought in his 50+ posts a year than TPB does in his constant diarrhea of the fingers.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.
